Spanish and English tours available. Must wear shoe covers to visit the house and it is overwhelming to see what people could live in (if you had money) as compared to the rest of the citizens. It was the first house to have central heating/cooling and an elevator! The house is beautiful and the tour was very good. The guide was able to answer any questions. I ended up taking half a spanish tour and half english and found that the spanish tour was much more comprehensive. There are good stories about the house and the family. It was a nice way to spend a couple of hours and not too expensive. Cannot take photos and cannot linger in the house to spend time looking closely at the detailed rooms. The neighbourhood is beautiful to walk through (lots of private universities in the old mansions and students about). The Military Museum is not far away and tells the history and wars of Chile up until about 1920.
