“View of Santiago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

You can start your visit of Santiago from San Cristobal Hill. You can take the tram up, go biking or walk if you have the energy for it. We took the bus up. :) Nice view of the Andes and the city. Some interesting shops too.

“A great view of Santiago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

San Cristobal Hill is as popular with locals as it is with tourists. It is most popularly visited by the funicular railway, but it is possible to walk and drive to the summit. The summit has great religious significance so respect is a good thing to show. The view of Santiago is great even allowing for a bit of Santiago haze. Because the train starts and ends in Bellavista, the add on bonus is a great meal or a coffee in this attractive region of Santiago.

“It's a hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

The view of the city was great. The hike was actually pretty decent and the trail was well maintained. Once you get to the zoo, continue around to the right and follow the road for about 10 minutes. There is trail access on the left. I'd bring some water. The top is very pretty but crowded.

“Nice views, great neighborhood”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

Funicular is a little expensive for what it is, but the views are great once you are up there. We went at sunset and so we could see both the day and night views.
