Proximity to the airport. The hotel is a 30 min. drive to the hotel but does not even seem that long. Gen. price of a taxi to this area is US$40..
Check-In/Out. Check in and Checkout were quick with no errors and pleasant. The staff were very accommodating whenever we called down and response was quick.
Room and view. Our room (9th floor) was nice, not ultra luxurious but quite comfortable, safe and we had a nice view of the Andes (imagine laying in bed and waking up to that view) . The bed is comfortable and was clean, so too the washroom. In the washroom though, the tub was a bit scoffed but clean. There isn't a perc. for making tea or coffee but there is a wonderful buffet breakfast and you can get hot drinks at the bar and grill, through room service or there is a Starbucks across the street.
Location to attractions. You are not within walking distance to downtown or the major attractions of the city but there is a subway station a couple blocks away, which is very efficient and easy to use )plus cheapest method of getting around to further places. You are however VERY close to fab. restaurants on Av. Isidora...too many from which to choose. This was excellent for foodies like my husband and I, as we had a wonderful culinary experience in this neighborhood.
Restaurants. We had the buffet breakfast every morning at the hotel and I must say that this was an excellent spread of items. There is something for all types of persons...toast, cereal, fruit, sausages, cheeses, cold cuts, a variety of drinks (juice, coffee, tea...) and the list goes on. We also had dinner at Temple (Japanese fusion) which was good but please note that it is more of a lounge NOT a restaurant. We luckily had an early dinner on the night that we dined here, as when we were leaving, a DJ was setting up. For those who like more of a lounge scene, you will enjoy here.
Pools. There is a heated pool on the top floor of the hotel. Spectacular view from this floor and the pool was clean and towels were always out.
Generally though, this was a very good stay with friendly, helpful staff from the moment that you enter with the doorman, guest services to servers and hosts at the restaurants.
P.S. the gift shop has lovely items to purchase and are not over-priced when we compared it to other gift shops in the area. The prices of their lapis lazule was quite reasonable.
