“A place to have fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

I´m Chilean and live in this neighbourhood so I can recommend it 100%. There are lots of restaurants where you can eat nice dishes or just go for a drink and my favorite one ,which is called "la Batuta" where you can see local music bands playing and after that you can stay for dancing. If you really want to have fun, come to Plaza Ñuñoa!! : )

“An Escape from the Crowds at Lastarria and Bellavista”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

To escape the throngs of tourists in Barrios Bellavista and Lastarria, head to Plaza Nuñoa, which boasts nice and atmospheric restaurants and bars ad quaint shops. The only downside to Plaza Nuñoa is the lack of a nearby metro station. Irarrázaval and Plaza Egaña are the nearest subway stops. I normally flag down a taxi from either stations to get to Plaza Nuñoa.

“An excellent alternative to Barrio Lastarria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

If you´re trying to avoid the crown at Barrio Lastarria but still want a similar trendy bar/restaurant vibe, Plaza Ñuñoa is the place to go. Yes, prices can be high but if you go for the happy hour (until 9pm) drinks are affordable and delicious (aound 2000 chilean pesos for a cocktail and less for a pisco sour and beers). I would recommend the corner that has Ebano Cocina Soul. They recently opened a Bar The Clinic in this neighborhood so it´s worth checking out if you´re a fan of the one in Bellas Artes.

“It has changed for the better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

I studied at Plaza Ñuñoa. That was back in the late 70s. I went to have dinner there 2 months ago, and I was gladly surprised to see that nowadays there are many more places where you can eat and have some entertainment. The Teatro de la UC is still there; there is La Batuta for those who enjoy music; a most emblematic place to have something to eat and drink is Las Lanzas which has been there for nearly 40 years. And the latest addition is a boulevard (with parking spaces) where you can find all types of cuisine with an excellent atmosphere and in a safe environment. This boulevard is in the northern part of the Plaza, by the Town Hall (la municipalidad) building. There are many other restaurant worth visiting in the area, too. Go, and you won't regret it! The easiest way to get there is along Avenida Irarrázaval.
