I have visited the Zarita 4 times in the last 2 months. Every time I go there, it gets better and better. I usually "ask for political asylum" here after 2 p.m., when it is time to have lunch. I order a pisco sour which is made the moment the waitress tells the barman a guy is all thirsty with his tongue out sitting at one of the tables, after having walked under 30 degrees Celsius in Santiago's streets. That pisco sour is sublime. Then, I order a cebiche, and YUM! The magic is complete!! You must definitely try all the menu because the dishes I have seen here are superb! You can accompany everything with beer from Peru (Arequipeña and Cusqueña) or Chilean beer, like Kunstmann. They also have Tiger, from Singapore, and Corona, from Mexico. This place also works like a hostal. Accommodation for 1 is CLP$15,000, and for 2, CLP$25,000, breakfast included. It is close to Metro Quinta Normal, and in the middle of the charming Barrio Yungay, full of heritage buildings. Drop by whenever you want. Happy hour after 6 p.m.
