“What an experiance...!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

Patricio treated us like friends when cooking for us in his restaurant. We experienced the greatness of Chilean cuisine and culture in this unique setting. This was the highlight of our trip in Chile.

Thank you Patricio.

“Best in Chile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Served directly by the chef who is passionate about Chilean food. Each dish was presented well and embodied traditional Chilean ingredients and elevated to an elegant and creative level.

“Incredible dining experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

My husband and I are living in Santiago for three months, and this past weekend we decided to escape to Santa Cruz for a getaway of wine tasting and relaxtion. Little did we know that eating at this restaurant would be the highlight of our weekend (though the wineries were lovely) and perhaps even the highlight of our time in Chile so far. It was by far the best dining experience we have ever had. The food was spectacular, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the service and conversation with Patricio (owner/chef) was exceptional. We were the only ones at the restaurant. At first we thought maybe we had made a mistake with our reservation, as we arrived and it appeared dark and empty. Then Patricio opened the door, greeted us with a warm hug, and directed us to sit on the couch as we enjoyed our chardonnay sours and first two courses. The following five courses were wonderful examples of typical Chilean cuisine with a fresh flair (I would describe it in more detail, but it wouldn't do justice, you really need to experience it for yourself). We ended up staying for over four hours, ending the night with pisco and conversation. Simply wonderful!

“Personal Chef Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

We recently enjoyed a meal at Montmei in Santa Cruz, it felt like having a personal chef for the evening.

Having booked via email the day prior, Patricio opened the restaurant specifically for us and then proceeded to guide us through an entirely enjoyable gastronomical experience. Food was essentially Patricio's take on what appear to have been some Chilean staples. With a neat wine list composed of local specialties to suit any budget.

A highlight for us was the pre dinner "Chardonnay Sour" a refreshing drink we aim to replicate at home.

Given the quality of the food and personalised service we found the price to be good value. Worth noting it is cash only.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2012

Patricio opened the restaurant just for us. "I only open my restaurant if I have a reservation" he said! In another place at another time this may have worried us but given we were so relaxed and on our honeymoon we just went with it.

And wow. How we we were rewarded!!!!!!!

The food here is simply the best we have experienced in chile. In fact having had the fortune to eat in some of the worlds best restaurants, this was one of the best meals we have had.

Ok so we are on a honeymoon high and ok we had the undivided attention of the owner and ok so we were a little intoxicated by the best wine the colchagua valley has to offer but on reflection the food was divine.

Patricio manages somehow to marry delicious south American flavours with a lightness of touch and modern sensibility that would happily grace the tables of Michelin starred restaurants in london. The Chilean flavours were so well observed with a modern presentation and penache that left us wishing we had room for more.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and wish Patricio all the best in the future.

We will be eating here again but living in London it is a bit of a commute!!
