We arrived shortly after 09:00, tired and a bit grumpy after an all night flight. We were warmly greeted, offered a complimentary breakfast and soon felt much more upbeat. After just a short time in the living area looking at lovely books of Chile, we were taken up to the second floor (stairs) to room 11. The room faced Providencia, which is a busy street but the road noise was minimal, as there are double doors to the balcony.
Mito Casa Hotel is an older building with some of the quirks that come with age - some of the floor boards squeak and our door had a little trick to opening (pull and then push). However the rooms are stylish, clean, and well furnished. The beds are comfortable, lighting good, night tables have room for iPads, wardrobe is large, as is flat screen TV and there is a large ceiling fan and a heater. There is no mini bar (we did not miss it) or in-room safe (you are buzzed in to the hotel, so we felt our belongings were safe). There is complimentary wifi.
Our room had an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom (shower) has been well renovated in the modern clean lines and is a decent size and functional. Large towels, hairdryer and shampoo/ conditioner and soap are provided.
The tasty breakfast included juice, yoghurt, fruit, cereals, bread and pastries, and eggs to order.
The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Plaza des Armas and about the same to Bellavista.
We enjoyed our stay and were grateful for the excellent dining and shopping recommendations.
Highly recommend this great B&B for location and friendly welcoming staff.
