After several days of enjoying Chile's seafood, vegetables, and fruit, I decided that it is time for some beef. I had reserved at an early time (7pm) which gave me the choice to sit in the outdoor area, observing the buzz on Av Pedro de Valdivia. I started with deep-fried sweetbread, which was of very good quality. My choice of meat, Tapa de lomo, was not available, but the waiter offered me a better cut for just 1000 Pesos more, so I took that. The beef was very well prepared, tender, and juicy. Not quite top quality, but still very good and don't forget that the prices are reasonable. A green salad ordered as side dish had no less than five varieties of leaves in it - nice! Service by my young waiter who spoke excellent English, was very friendly and efficient. There is a good choice of wines in all price categories at the usual fair Chilean restaurant prices. All in all, a very enjoyable experience, warmly recommended.
