“Possibly the best restaurant in Santiago”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2012

Santiago may not be known for its abdundance of excellent restaurants, but Ozaki is, in my opinion, not just probably Santiago's best restaurant, but one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The meals are excellent (although it's reasonnable to take 2 dishes per person), in particular the tiraditos and the rolls, which are very, very different from the often industrial sushi rolls in Santiago. However, not just the food is very good, so is the ambience, with a tasteful interior, excellent music and great service. Whenever friends or colleagues come to visit Santiago, I invite them here.

Prices, finally, are surprisingly reasonnable.

“Fantastic Japanese restaurant - beautiful presentation of food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2012

Brilliant restaurant - same street as our hotel. Menu in Spanish but chef came out and advised us on items to choose - and what choices he made! Fabulous food beautifully presented - very disappointed on our second visit was a Sunday night only and it was closed.
Opens around 6.30 pm and doesn't close until around midnight for last orders!! People eat very late in Santiago.....
Loved our dinner there - we were very impressed by this food and the service was delightful.

“Great Japanese food with a Peruvian twist!”

Don't miss the Cevi Maki and the Pulpo Ozaki! For desert try the flan de queso.

“A great evening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2011

On our first night in santiago, a few restaurants were recommended and nothing really appealed to us. We had walked past Ozaki and were intrigued by the sign outside so decided to try it. Our evening was great. Although we knew almost no Spanish and our waiter knew the same amount of English our evening worked out wonderful. My wife had a great salmon dish with quinoa and I had a fish and pasta dish. We also shared a great appetizer and dessert. The wine list was great, a nice pinot with dinner and 2 glasses of white before. We would absolutely go there again. The price seemed very reasonable for the quality of food and service. Not sure how to mark the food cost as it naturally depends on how much one eats. We thought it a bargain.
