This is a really nice W with the added advantage of you actually being able to see something at night!
The public areas are really something. Very stylish ( as expected ) but also comfortable.
I had a great room on the 11th floor that was quiet, well laid out, with a great bed.
I found all the hotel staff incredibly helpful no matter what silly question I asked. None of the snootiness you often get at a W in the US. The gym on the third floor was awesome but has stupid hours for an international hotel. They need to seriously consider 24 hour access.
The hotel is in a beautiful residential area about 20 minutes from central Santiago. You can pay 10,000 pesos for a trip by cab or 670 pesos ( on the weekend ) by metro to get to Plaza de Armas. You have a choice of 2 metro stations within a safe 10 minute walk of the hotel.
The views from the upper levels are great and the bar scene is definitely energetic.
I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Good food, well prepared with attentive service.
I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next trip to Santiago.
