“Bellos paisajes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014

-----

We went to Saltos del Petrohue with my boyfriend, first we took the path to the water falls, it was very crowded and there was a lot of people taking photos. Then we took the lovers' path and I recommend you take that one too because a lot of people don`t even see it and don`t take it, that path is more difficult, I think it´s a little difficult for old people and parents with small children , but that's exactly why it's better, there are less people there, it's full of beautiful trees and vegetation, you can spend hours discovering all the little paths, walking on rocks and just discovering beautiful places. I totally recommend Saltos del Petrohue, the ticket entrance is cheap and if you like nature you'll love the "sendero de los enamorados".

“Excellent waterfalls amongst the volcanic lava.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

Wonderful climb up to the views of the waterfalls created when the volcano erupted. Various levels of viewing also a boat if you want to get to the bottom as well. Excellent hour or so to stop on the way to Puerto Varas area.

“Nice day trip with kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2014

Great short drive from Puerto Varas. Drive to Petrohue there are beautiful views of the lake and volcano. There are some big boulders along the back of the parking lot that were great for the kids to play around on and the sand was clean and black. We really enjoyed throwing rocks and the burgers at the snack shop were really good. Bring a rain coat, the weather changes in a hurry. You can also park for free just beyond the very well signed pay parking.

“Nice waterfall with beautiful blue waters”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2014

Stopped by on our way to Petrohue. It was an interesting waterfall that I expect could be pretty dramatic during the spring thaw.
