“Great view!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 27, 2014

The view and service were great, nice room, big and spacious bathroom. Got casino and parking. Wifi wasn't working well! Breakfast was the same every day. Got spa, but it needs to be renewed! We did not like the fact that spa was separate for men and women. But in general it was ok!

Despite the fact this is a casino hotel it was excellent for our family vacation. The rooms are really spacious with breathtaking views across the lake to the volcanoes and they open onto balconies where you can sit and enjoy a great glass of Chilean wine! The rooms have beautiful bathrooms including a separate rain shower and large bath-tub. The front desk was helpful with directions and dining recommendations and even called one of the restaurants we were recommended by other travellers as they were not familiar with it. The only time you see the casino is when you come and go through the lobby but it is separated by a glass wall so you really have very little exposure to it. The gym is fairly well equipped with cardio, free weights and machines and the indoor heated swimming pool is excellent for both grown-ups and kids. There are also mens and ladies spa areas with steam rooms, saunas and hot pools. The included breakfast was excellent with a really wide selection of hot and cold choices including smoked salmon, pastries, kuchen, fruits, breads, cheeses, cold cuts, as well as bacon, scrambled eggs and pancakes.

Room Tip: Any of the rooms with the lakefront views and balconies!

The hotel is very nicely designed. The lobby, halls, and rooms are all beautiful and the lakefront view is great. The rooms and bathrooms are large and well kept. There is a small casino on the first floor which doesn't affect the hotel's atmosphere but can make parking a hassle. There is a spa with jacuzzis, saunas, etc. The only real objection is the food. The restaurant is a buffet and the selection isn't all that great. The wine selection is outright poor.

The hotel is across the lake and you can see the volcano Osorno. It's a beautiful view from every room in the front of the hotel. The breakfast is excellent and the buffet dinner as well. The hotel is very central and close to the best tourist agencies in town. Be sure to make the one day cruise to Bariloche. It's fantastic!

I booked a night's stay at the hotel for the sheer convenience of going on the Andean Lake Crossing, since the pick-up point was just in front of the main entrance of the casino, just around the corner from the main entrance of the hotel.

I have to admit to not expecting much, but was really wow-ed by the service disposition of the front desk. I had a lovely welcome from them, before being escorted to my room. The room was large and facing Lago Llanquihue and was very modern. There was also free wifi in the room, without any sign-up or passwords. The bathroom was equipped with a rain shower, separate from the bath.

The restaurant also faces the lake, so you can have views while dining if the weather is good.

We stayed two nights at this hotel before our sea kayaking trip. It was above and beyond what I thought it would be. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. It has a fabulous location overlooking the lake and in the midst of the town. The room was amazing. The bathroom was very large and had a beautiful separate tub. We also had a balcony overlooking the lake which was wonderful. The spa is great too although the men are separate from the women. I would have liked to enjoyed the jacuzzi and saunas with my husband rather than having my own separate ones. The staff was very friendly, especially Carlos at the front desk and the gentleman running the breakfast (I can't remember his name). The breakfast was fantastic!! Our only disappointment was that we didn't book this hotel for our last two days when we got back from kayaking. We already had another reservation at another hotel we couldn't cancel. :(

We checked into this Hotel (also called Dreams) after quickly checking out of our first hotel in Puerto Varas (Bellevista) because it just wasn't that nice (and did not have wifi as advertised). This hotel was next door and the very nice manager (?) Christian gave us a tour of the hotel. We ended up taking a suite (we are with our 8 and 10 year olds) and couldn't be happier. The hotel has a great pool, wonderful views, very nice rooms, and a good buffet breakfast. And wifi.
