“Business Trip... what a pitty!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

Very Good Hotel.. unfortunatelly I was in a Business trip and cannot enjoyed all the amenities.. spa, gym. get your breakfast, watching the sunrise and the volcano in front of you is priceless! I strongly recommend.

Room Tip: There is no bad room. All of them are lake view.

Spent three nights with the complete family of five. Three kids of 12, 10 and 7 years of age. From the beginning when we contacted the hotel for reservations and asked for family solution of two adjacent bedrooms, the hotel management gave us a nice solution. While we were located at one corner of the hotel at the fourth floor from a total of seven, with limited view of the lake and volcanoes, the rooms were well prepared for our group. An aisle door allowed us to be isolated, something desirable given the young passengers we were traveling with. Hotel service was great, buffet breakfast was nice and the restaurant while a little bit pricey had an excellent menu. The swimming pool was located at the seventh floor together with the massage rooms and the minimal equipment gym. Everything was enough for the enjoyment of three days of surrounding excursions with the basecamp at the hotel. Service personnel was great and extremely careful with passengers. The less you run into the personnel the better it becomes your experience. Would definitely go back again the next time, maybe trying a better room view with balcony.

Beautiful location with a superb architectural design. Personnel is kind and customer oriented.
Te pool is not the place to be at the hotel. It's ridiculously small for a hotel of this kind.
Additionally, the restaurant is good but is not the best place around (too expensive for the food quality). try other locations nearby

My wife and I were in Puerto Varas preparing for for the lakes and Andes crossing to Bariloche, Argentina. We had several options to stay in Puerto Varas and we are certainly glad we chose the Hotel Cumbres. The view of the lake towered over by the two volcanoes that you enjoy from the magnificent lobby is world class. There is a nice paved trail that is an easy walk into the town. Our room was very nice and with its great view we almost didnt want to leave. With so much going for it, one might wonder if the staff would provide good service and they certainly did. We were given a coupon for a free glass of wine and all of our questions were answered pleasantly. We plan to return to visit Puerto Varas and will stay here again.

Room Tip: I believe all rooms face the lake but if not, be sure and request one that does

we loved the place. very nice interior (lobby-bar-lounge- area), good very spacious rooms, clean, excellent view towards two volcanos. not far from the center. great restaurant. very friendly staff. when they gave us a room with two separate beds, we immediately got a new room with double king bed in an even better (view) room.
nothing negative about the place really.

This hotel must rate as the best I've ever stayed in. The foyer and lounge have cathedral proportions and the use of the lava rock and bare timber is reminiscent of a hunting lodge in Germany. The restaurant and cuisine are superb and generous. The rooms spacious, and the views over the lake to the Osorno volcano stunning.

Room Tip: A must views of the Osorno volcano over the lake

Stepping into the lobby you are greeted with spectacular lake views. The lobby and restaurant are nicely done. The rooms are a bit tired looking. The carpet needed to be replaced. The views of the lake are beautiful. We had a problem with the AC in our rooms. The hallway was freezing but we couldn't get it cool enough in the room. The food at the restaurant was fair. Breakfast wasn't very food, not any healthy choices. In Puerta Varas this is probably the best choice.
