“Super helpful and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

The staff at Aguaventure were extremely helpful in choosing tours while in Pucon. They provided recommendations and tips on the tours, especially in relation to the weather forecast. An added bonus is that they speak English and French as well as Spanish, which helped us a lot as we knew very little Spanish. They also offer a 10% if you book a 2nd tour with them.

Doing white water rafting and canyoning through Aguaventure, I highly recommend them. Although they do not conduct the tours themselves, their operating partners (Politur - rafting, Canyoning Pucon - Canyoning) we just as friendly and maintained a high level of safety from start to finish. Both tours were excellent and I highly recommend booking tours with these companies. A great experience all round!

“Excellent guides, all felt very professional”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

We took both the Geometricas and the Volcano climb.

Geometricas: the price is a bit higher, 35K but we think it worth it. The pools were very nice, our bus ride left exactly on time. Driver was very friendly.

Volcano climb: we got recommendation from the lonely planet and from our hostel not to go with the cheap agencies, and they were not cheap, but they worth it.
We had an amazing experience with them. We felt that everything is well organized, our gear was just fine and not old (like other comments have mentioned), maybe they renewed it.
The guides, Vino & Grey, we're very nice and always took care of us. We were a small group (5 ppl) and they've kept motivating us all the way to the top.
The way down is really fun, one guide slide with us while the other is skying next to us. We always felt we are being well taking care of..
We had no problems at all, the group had a good pace and weather was amazing. The beer at the end was fun too..

“Villarrica Volcano ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

I hiked to the summit of Villarrica with Aguaventura and it was one of the best days of my South American trip so far. The guides were very friendly and made an effort to get to know us even offering suggestions for other activities in Pucon. At the same time safety was their primary concern and constantly made sure everyone was okay throughout the hike. At one point they were not sure if we could make the summit due to the weather and explained it could be dangerous to keep climbing. Luckily we were able to make it all the way but I appreciated that it was not just about making the top but ensuring our safety. When we returned to Pucon we were offered free beer/juice/pop on their terrace. I would definitely book another activity with them.

“Professional outfit; guides were on their own outing ...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Overall good experience. Very professional, very well done. That said, we were in a large group accompanied by six guides. The guides really made no effort to interact with the group aside from safety related topics, and spent most of the time joking around amongst themselves. They were a bit condescending at times as well. In short, Aguaaventura won't screw it up, but don't expect a charm offensive.

“Very safe hands”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

We did the Volcano hike with these guys and we felt looked after the whole way.
Unfortunately due to our own physical capacity - and the difficulty of the hike we did not make it to the top - only 3/4 of the way, but one of the guides stayed with us and took us back down when the rest of the team continued to the top.
Its a difficult hike - we did the 4 day inca trail and this was far more difficult!
We were not 'pushed' to the top like we have heard other companies do, in fact the opposite, we were made very aware that due to conditions (nature) we may not get to the top, and were given many opportunities to pull out before the hike started without paying any fees. They do not want money until you come back.
It took us 4.5 hours to get as far as we did, then about an hour and a half to get back down, unfortunately a lot of the snow was too icy to slide down, but when we could it was great fun.
A refreshingly honest travel company in South America. We hope to do rafting with them tomorrow. Very professional.
They are not the cheapest in town but in my books they are probably the safest (and I am not a risk taker with mine or my wife's lives)
