The first dim sum (I think) restaurant in HK to get a michelin star. This Taiwanese chain serves up globally beating dim sum in a clean, efficient and consistent fashion. At the pricier end of dim sum however this place is fantastic and worth every penny. I introduced a friend of mine to DTF when he was staying here over Christmas and he found his way back 4 times during his 5 days here.
What to eat:
Everything is good but the staple is Xiao Long Bao, Prawn and Pork Bao, Dan Dan Noodles (spicy peanut), Pork Chop with fried rice (unbelievable). The wonton's are similarly tasty and bursting with fresh flavours.
Advice - don't over order. If there are 2 of you a portion of the above will ensure you do not need dinner.
Best part - watching the chefs make the dim sum parcels in the open and hospital clean kitchen. Go. Be prepared to queue to get a table and eat your body weight in the best dim sum I have tasted outside a fine dining chinese / cantonese restaurant
