“Really nice hotel”

Stayed there for a weekend, booked via booking.com at very reasonable prices. Was really positively surprised. Big rooms, latest technology (DVD, Surround system etc), nice interior design, very clean and well looked after. Excellent bar with a great piano player. In short, a very pleasant experience.
The only thing which could be improved is the WiFi connection. Difficult and cumbersome to log in. This was even confirmed by staff

This hotel is extraordinary. Our room was fantastic, the views are simply breath stopping. The staff is overly courteous. The amenities are luxurious, to put it mildly. The food selection is vast and accommodates even the most picky palates. One could live in the spa all day, worth every penny. I hope to return soon.

After 20 or so years of not travelling to Singapore, the St. Regis made the return a delight: from the daily buffet breakfast with its selection of cereals, fresh fruit, Chinese, Indian, Western fare, and steak and eggs on a separate a la carte menu. I read the reviews about slow check-in, and am of the view you really have to be not in a hurry when you come here, but enjoy the pace of being on a real holiday. The hosts that do the check-in are personable and prescient.

The rooms were sizeable, luxurious, and came with outstanding views of Singapore's greenery and highrises. I particularly loved the power showers, even if the water pressure meant a flooded bathroom floor; solution: move shower head away from door. The numerous switches are a tad confusing but we rose to the challenge. Two of us decided that if we returned to Singapore, this would be the hotel of choice — as the joy of St Regis' shower bears repeating.

The rooms and service at St Regis are what set it apart from most business hotel. The room I had was not as big as some I have been to, but it is very luxuriously appointed. I can see the attention that was being put into the details of everything in the room. Service at the reception and room service was superb too. Located at Tanglin, it is not as centrally located as other hotels, but it is still very accessible.

My Husband and i stayed at the St Regis for a 5 day trip in Singapore while visiting friends. Our first impressions were wonderful, great welcome, easy check-in, shown to our room early (we arrived at 10am). We had a penthouse suite and it was just beautiful. Lovely big bathroom with Bath (and TV). 2 double wardrobes. Desk and seating area with a great view out of a huge window. Best of all was the bed!! One of the MOST comfortable I have ever slept in away from home!!
The whole feeling of this hotel is one of opulence. The pool area is great (and never busy), the decor is just beautiful, especially the Brasserie and Astor bar. The Spa is the best part......on both Ladies and Gents sides is a hydrotherapy pool, outdoor whirlpool and reflexology stones pool. A sauna, steam room, ice bath and warm marble stone lounges. It is available for guest to use all day and was never busy when I went. We did not use the spa for treatments but it said to be the best is Singapore!! If the other facilities are anything to go by, I can see why!!
The only disappointing part to our stay was some (not all) of the service!! We had a couple of occasions of misunderstanding in charges to our room, and a general disinterest to resolve them. The worst part was for 3 mornings being turned away for the beautiful Brasserie for breakfast after being told the next available seat was at the restaurant on Level 2. Obligingly we went to the suggested restaurant, which was great, but has none of the glamour or service of the Brasserie. On the 4th day, after being told again to go to Level 2, we asked (maybe demanded) if we could wait for a table at the brasserie anyway. After a bit of a 'discussion' we were shown through to the Brasserie only to find it was half empty!! Needless to say I was astounded, and consequently raised this with the Manager. I was told they try to regulate the amount of people in the brasserie!! Not good enough!! When you pay a premium to stay here, it's only natural you would want to eat in the premium restaurant!!

The St. Regis hotel is in my view THE hotel to stay at when you are in Singapore and one of the best city hotels in Asia.

Location: The hotel is located about a block from Orchard Road where some of Singapore's best shopping is located. Transportation in Singapore is very efficient so the time to travel anywhere from the hotel is not long. Grade = A

Check-In/out: I found the check-in process to be very well organized and efficient. On both of my stays last month I was checked-in by Mr. Torres who's attention to detail and genuine kindness were superb. Check-out was also efficient and done quickly on both occasions. Grade = A+


Food + Beverage: Food and beverage is extremely solid. The Sunday brunch is truly fantastic. Grade: A

Rooms: The rooms are all spacious. The attention to detail and the quality of materials in the rooms are extremely high. The bathrooms in the room were very nice. I found the beds to be some of the best I have slept in during my travels. Grade: A

Staff: The staff at the hotel is what really makes this hotel standout. The staff at the St. Regis really blew me away. Mr Torres was superb. Additionally, the concierge, Hayato Gunjima, was about to get me a much needed hair appointment at the last minute at a great salon in town when I realized I needed to fly back to the US to attend a wedding. The butler and the pool staff were also top notch. Grade: A+++

Would I stay in the hotel again? I won't stay anywhere else in Singapore.

Some incredible friends of ours put us up here for our anniversary. We had a room that included 24 hr butler in a exquisite suite.

Service is impeccable, food divine and location is great - 3 minutes walk from the best shopping hub - orchard street.
