“NIce hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2009

I stayed at Link Hotel on Feb. The hotel looks pretty new. Have nothing to complain about, despite the room size that was smallish. The hotel and room are clean and trendy looking, shower also has a good pressure. We didn't eat at the hotel at all since we were out for traveling the whole day. You have to walk for about 10 minutes to the closest MRT station (Outram, in front of SGH) in which will caused you trouble when its raining, but there is a bus station just across the street, so its pretty convinient. Also the free wifi in our room added the value for staying here.

I stayed here for three nights during Feb 2009. The room was a good size, with everything you would need.....safety deposit box, tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer etc.
The reception staff could have done with a bit of a cheerier disposition, but all other staff were great.
The situation of the hotel was great for the underground and Chinatown. There was a "Cheers" 24 hour convienience shop attached to the hotel, as well as a fab restaurant opposite.
I would reccommend this hotel for anyone who wants to have a clean, pleasant and reasonably priced stay in Singapore.

Firstly would like to say I've stayed from 5 star hotels to budget rooms all over the world and am very picky when it comes to comfort and cleanliness.
I really loved my stay here, and will definitely come back again.
Rooms are cozily furnished with a Very Comfortable and soft queen sized Bed. The bed is the best thing about this hotel, the duvet is soft, thick and premium, unlike many other hotels at a similar price which would provide thin sheets. Owners should take note to keep up the standard! Room is not very big but clean and has good decor. Cupboard is ornate and gives the room a upscale feel. Slippers and cable TV provided as expected and no problems.
Bathroom is clean and has good fittings, with a very hot shower.

Problems are that the walls may needs maintaining, some stains were seen which my wife complained about and really can lower the standard if it gets worse.
Wireless internet is also usually free in many hotels today and strangely here it's charged here at sky high prices (20+ dollars). I would stay at a comparable hotel with free wireless as the Internet is like oxygen for most travellers today.

Breakfast was not included at the price, but can be easily gotten at the Tiong Bahru Food Court nearby, which offers 2-3 dollar delicious hawker foods.

Overall a good place for anyone.

Hassle free Check in - Check out, fantastic Concierge service, stayed there with a year old baby and had no problems, very friendly staff. Staff even helped us with sterilizing/cleaning baby bottles even after we had checked out of the hotel.
Room was clean and had all the modern ammenities in working condition.
Higly recommended for young couples and small families.

Husband had a conference last 5th to 6th and we decided to make a trip out of it. We arrived at the hotel really late, close to 11pm. Happily check-in was fast and we then took the lift to the next floor up. A 2 mins walk down the loooooong and narrow corridor to our room. (can't believe that this used to be residential flats- people actually LIVED here). Opened the door - slight gasp- the room was small. Really really small . Facilities were of good standard though (ie no mold in toilet) and it came with all the extras you'd expect of a maybe 4 star- place-coffee tea hairdryer free shampoo nice towels and even slippers and CNN! Bed was comfy and in plain white. Curtain very thick and you know why as our room overlooked the back of some local restaurants! Area was quiet though. The most fantastic thing about LinkHotel , is the FREE INTERNET CONNECTION!!

The next day's breakfast was at the inhouse coffee house, Reasonably good buffet. SGD15 is such good value. We wanted to try Persimmon the restaurant but it had very limited opening times which clashed with our shopping times!

I took the shuttle to Orchard Road - found it convenient although not direct as bus also picked up other guests.

The staff could do with being more knowledgable on local info though. We were looking for places we can have a late dinner and they had very few recommendations (found other places the next day) but everyone was friendly enough.

All in all, very good for brief stay if you are not going to be in your room much or if you don't mind the size (or lack thereof)...if you suffer from claustrophobia, stay away!

Booked through hotelclub. Got in early in the morning and needed somewhere to rest before getting on a cruise at the Harbourfront the next day. The Link was perfect. Check in was easy and the reception area very nice. Room was small but nicely decorated and very comfortable. Shower was fine and good toiletries. I would definately recommend it as a place to stay for similar reasons. Close to Vivocity and harbourfront (about 5-10 min by taxi). Ordered room service which was above average. Check out very easy and they called us a cab no drama. Overall very happy with our stay.
