“A good place to spend an evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2013

This is a place where it is very pleasant to spend time in the evening. The cool spray of water from the Merlion and the breeze makes sitting here very comfortable. There is nothing much to do, so if you are looking for a photo opportunity it will take you 5 minutes. On week ends it can be crowded with lots of visitors and tourists. However if you want to leisurely spend some time looking at the marina bay and the water and spend some time chatting away with friends and family, this is a good place. There are a couple of eateries and also a ferry ticket point. lots of space to sit. The younger kids do tend to get bored easily and can pester you if they do not have something to do on their own.

“SG Signature”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2013

This is a place where you can put "Hello, I've been in SG" over your head. You can take photo here, with Merlion background. Also, there's other spots for your eyes pleasure. It's a must to visit here, especially for the first timer like me.

“A Singapore landmark and photo opportunity- overlooking Marina Bay and close to other attractions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

The Merlion is an icon of Singapore. It's a large and distinctive statue, with a fountain. It's located on the waterfront, and adjacent to Marina Bay.

I would include a visit on a day tour- or even at sunset or during the evening- you can see the nightly light show from here.

There are other attractions in the area- going one way is Marina Bay, and the other way there's Clarke Quay. The a Fullerton Hotel is not far away- a good place for a luxurious buffet lunch!

Nearby there are several dining opportunities.

If you go on a Bumboat cruise, they sail past here- presenting a photo opportunity.

Well worth a visit- as part of a day's sightseeing. Entry is free- it's an open monument.
