Don't bother going to see the Merlion as he is covered up getting ready for his 40th birthday in September.

“Icon of Singapore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

Singapore's icon is Merlion (Mermaid with lion head). The most popular Merlion statue is located in the Marina bay area and adjacent to the Fularton hotel. This is a good place for you to pass a good time. Sitting at the pavement of the statue & wach the stunning view of Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore flyer is awsome. After dusk the view is more beautiful. You can also have a boat ride from here to see the view of Merlion.

Dont forget to take snap of this icon.

“Great night views of Singapore”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

If you want to take stunning night pictures of singapore, this is the place. However, the connectivity from Merlion park to the other side is via regular road. It is sort of isolated from the other attractions

the view is great, good for taking photos. you can see the three towers of the marina bay sands hotel, the art and science center across the water. the area is also a great place to chill out and relax with starbucks and coffee bean and some local Singapore dishes sold nearby
