SG$50/Double room/night with air con
SG$40 Twin w/o aircon

it's ok.

but like everywhere in singapore they treat their indonesian workers like sh....(no pay for almost a year because of agency, no privacy, work 16 hours a day, poor food, one girl said she had been hit by owner.....)

but if you don't look too close or don't ask your conscience, you will like it.

well... i know the room rates of this hostel is very cheap...for twin room just cost $45 (singapore dollar) but as i saw this hostel on the website, the twin room has 2 seperate bed and looks very clean...after i saw it when i checked in, the room is very dirty, and the bed is not seperate as i knew it from the gallery of the hostel website for twin room.
but me n my friend thought it was okay...just forget about that and not mention it to the hostel receptionist... while we put our luggage to the room and get a rest for some times....we felt that the AC is not cool at all... even we set it to the lowest temperature
we think maybe after we back to the room at night, the AC will cool the room but it's not cool at all :(

and about the breakfast...we have to wash our plate by ourself after we have finished our breakfast...i think this is not true...even the room rates are cheap...about cleaning things, i think this is the hostel staff's responsibility...well...kinda weird for me...but it's okay...it's not really bother me...

last, this is the worst part, second night at this hostel was a bad experience for me n my friend ever, it was about 10PM yet...we were just got to our room and get ready to take a bath...suddenly the light of our room is down... we tell the hostel receptionist...and then he get inside our room with his stairs to fix the lamp... it was one hour for him to fix that and it's not working...the lamp is not flame at all...i just don't get it...after that long time fixed the lamp...why don't the hotel staff change the old lamp to a new one...he just change it to the other old lamp which i see was broken already...we told him to switch our room to any empty room..but he said that the only left room is bigger...so what?? it's late already...and we need to take a rest :(
after a very long time we have wait...finally he gave us a key to other empty room
we are so fed up...why don't you gave us sooner, we lost our rest time a lot :(
we felt that the hostel services is very bad....the room also dirty and AC doesn't work at all...

I stay for 2 nights in private room with my friends
I really had bad experience with this hostel, the room is dirty, common room also same
last day is the teribble night, the lamp is broken down, it's always on-off
and they didn't have the new lamp to switch it, they switch it with the broken lamp too and it only worked for 30 minutes
we have to wait 2 hours to complain because they prefer to serve guests who want to check in rather than us
and finally, after we hardly complain again and again, they give us the new room (around 2 am in the morning)
really terrible experience I ever had
I wonder why that guesthouse still exists

Lousy rooms and no free wifi. Dirty kitchen/breakfast and shower area. Staff sometimes friendly, often NOT. Speak lousy, stupid SINGLISH.

The only thing going for it was the location. That's it.

The whole place is a bit strange, it's got the feel of a high school that needs severe funding. The kitchen is part of the showers/toilets which wasn't very nice - thankfully we missed breakfast!

The lady at reception was quite stern but she let us check in 30 minutes early (although we'd been waiting an hour already after no sleep in Singapore airport the night before) which was nice. The other members of staff however weren't so accommodating. We picked up the WIFI at the guesthouse and asked for the password but in reply we got "We don't have WIFI for you to use" very strange.

The room itself was very basic, double bed with a mirror and desk which was fine but the aircon was in shocking condition and barely noticeable and for the same price you can book a hotel room with fragrance or 81 hotels. Singapore isn't great for backpacking accommodation but seeing as this is neither cheap nor cheerful and definitely not flashpackers it's hard to see who this guesthouse is aimed at.

We arrived in Singapore at around 10pm after a flight from Australia and had no accomodation booked. At the airport we called around and Cozy Corner had availability and we could check in late.
We got to the hostel around midnight and were a bit worried at 1st when we saw the entrance. The room we had was $50 and windowless but did have aircon, that was a godsend as it was so hot.
The guy checking us in was very friendly and we encountered no problems or rudeness from any of the staff. The location was great, taxis and Bugis station just accross the road and within walking distance of alot of places we wanted to go.
The amenities were clean although the showers, toilets, wash basins and kitchen were all in the same area, it did feel weird brushing my teeth in a kitchen infront of lots of people eating breakfast!
The internet is free but there was usually only one computer working so we just had to time it right (we were usually able to get on straight away at 8.30am when they were turned on).
The only thing i didnt really like about the hostel was my bed, it sagged in the middle so i'd wake up with neck and back ache.
Overall though it was a good hostel, yes we probably could of got cheaper somewhere if we'd booked ahead but i was happy with my stay.

Stuff was friendly BUT: Shaby rooms, no windows, dirty towels / sheets, no windows, strange people hanging around in the common space and the shared bathrooms were really disgusting. And this for 50SD! We are really not fussy but we have been travelling for over 8month now and this was by far one of the worst places we have stayed. The only good thing is the location.
