“Considered one of the best”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

Soup a bit peppery but not too strong, braised pork leg is good also but too sweet. A lot of pictures on the wall, marking the true founder of the dish. In my opinion Ng Ah Sio is better.

One of the best bahkut teh places in town. Their other dishes like braised pork leg and vegetables are good too.

“Worth every penny”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Yes, this is the most expensive Bah Ku Teh in Singapore. But I still frequent the place after so many years! The Bah Ku Teh is extremely tasty and they top up your soup regularly.

Peppery and heavenly, and they have a variety of meat to choose from to go with the same soup. First timer should not worry. I have seen a lot of first timer turn away because they do not know how to order, what to order and what they have on the menu... The staff may not be the friendiest out there, but they will not hesitate to read the entire menu to you if you ask, so just ask.... If you stil worry, just order a bowl of bak Ku teh with "large ribs". The outlet a Balestier is run down, but it brings back a lot of memories especially when you view the entire interior pasted with photos of celebrities at the shop.. The biggest stars in Asia have here.
