“More of a Chalet than a Hotel/Resort”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

Stayed here many times with friends, and the longest period was for 3 weeks when i choose to stay here as i was renovating my home.

It is quite big complex scattered with 2 storeys building housing the rooms, there are no in-house restaurant, but there is a huge foodcourt, small eateries and some fastfood joints, the usual KFC, McD, Starbucks, etc.

The room is basic and clean, but the bed mattress is thin, and the blanket is even worse. The shower facility is adequate, but the aircon is nice and cool.

More of a Singaporean family and the usual busload of budget tourist, get very noisy during weekends and holidays. Otherwise on a normal weekday, it is peaceful and quiet.

My stay include coupons to the water theme park Wild Wild Wet and the now defunct Escape Theme Park. The complex had its own swimming pool at the Lobby rooftop with some see thru glass panels.

I feel it is getting more expensive these days compared to few years ago. However, it is still ok for the price you are paying, especially in expensive Singapore.

The beach is just at the end of the complex, there's a side door you can access. Recommended to go for walks by the lovely beach.

This resort is a targeted place for MANY Singaporeans to spend weekends or holidays for 3 main reasons:

a) it has a large amount of pic nic areas as well as bbq grills
b) it has a waterpark literally next to it
c) it has a mall next to it
and naturally, because it's cheap

The place is alright, it was clean and if you're not a fancy traveler the place does the job. You can tell it's not SUPER new, but it's quite cheap in comparison to other places.

The biggest issue I would say is that it feels very crowed. Dozens of Singaporean families spend hours cooking bbqs even until 2-3am, which can sometimes be heard inside the rooms.

NOTE: You won't really spot many other western tourists as the vast majority of the guests are locals; families will find it really awesome as the water park is actually quite cool and there is a McDonalds and Burger king less than 2 minutes walking from the door of your room.

It takes a bit to get to the center of the city, I'd say between 30 to 40 m by MRT

Room Tip: The resort is very large; if you get a room at the far end, you will feel the walk (Singaporean heat...

Stay there for 3D2N as per required by website. Dunno what kind of ruling is it. Everything is fine except the room, Wild Wild wet is just right outside the chalet along with Cheer, Food Court and other amenities. The room is old and worn out. i think never upgrade for long time. No free parking available. If not for the BBQ pit, I would prefer to stay in Hotel. The BBQ pit was built so near to one another and the space provided for sitting is also small.

Stayed for one night only. And it's because we want to have a BBQ at night and a very short break is needed. Booked a family room with discount (thank god for the NTUC member's rate otherwise it's totally not worth it). Two queen bed set side by side. A living room with sticky floor below the sofa. They must have skimmed mopping under the seats. Equip with a refrigerator (smell), a microwave oven and a round dining table with three chairs. Two toilets available, not a good sight to look at. Desperately in need of overhauling the whole lot - with the rates they're charging!

PROS
- BBQ pit just beside your room, good for family gathering.
- Lots of shops and eateries available nearby

CONS
- No free parking for guest
- TV with blur pictures
- Loud noises from nearby pits, as late as 1-2am
- Broken fan control. It keeps stopping and we have to turn the control again to make it work.
- Dusty wardrobe

Been visiting singapore 5 times already and ive stayed here twice.. If you're in a budget.. I can suggest this place. For 112 sgd for 3d2n, that is very cheap. Rooms were spacious.. Can accommodate 4 persons (upto 8 I guess, sharing in 2 single bed with pull-outs). They dont mind how many person will stay in a room. Ac were in good run, which is good specially at noon time that the temp in sg was really hot! Bathroom was just so-so.. There's one time that the shower room leaked And it's kinda of messy.. Toiletries were provided but so cheap that you wouldn't dare to use. Matress were hard yes, but it's ok. With the price we've payed we shouldn't expect more. There were more food stalls located around that are good and very affordable. The resort has its own rooftop pool which is clean, but if you want more fun in the water there's a Water park just beside costa sands >>>The Wild Wild Wet. Location is really at downtown, 30 minutes train to centre interlinked is not bad.. Another thing, the resort is a 5-10minutes walk to the station.. It's good to walk in the morning and evening, but in the afternoon or if you come in 4 I'll suggest to take the cab. It's just 5sgd.

Stayed for 3 days 2 nights weekend in the chalet. Price paid was over $500 for a family room that come with a living hall. The room badly need to renovate. The toilet was dirty with flies and only a soap in each toilet and shower gel. Bed was hard. Wifi was a laughing joke with on and off the connection. No make over on the second day and no free parking for guest.
I know this is a chalet suppose for family and friend gathering over BBQ, but with this kind of rate plus all the dining cost, I could get my whole family of 5 to 4 star resort in Malaysia island which I just booked for coming month end holiday with full board.
Not recommend for tourists and small family gathering. Will never book again though I'm NTUC member. I really disappointed with this so call resort!

Room Tip: They will message you your room number just days before check in.

All in all, the resort is actually a very nice place.

Food stalls and shops are everywhere around the resort and its only a 10 minute walk to Pasir Ris station (which subsequently is at the end of the east west train line) and a further 20-30 minutes into the centre of Singapore.

Food places are very good and cheap. Rooms are clean and air conditioned which is a must for Singapore. I think that the price is a bit much for a place so far away from the centre of Singapore, but still did the job.

Main downside was that there were heaps of people hanging out in front our room until the early hours of Saturday morning making it hard for my wife to sleep. The resort has a policy whereby they want no significant noise near rooms after 10:30pm however they rarely enforce these rules. It would have been nice so we could have got some sleep.
