First off, capsule accomodations is not for everyone, but hey, there is always a first time to try the capsule experience, and as a first timer, I was not disappointed. The staff of The Pod were extremely helpful and accomodating, and most of the time, one's initial hotel ancounter sets the pace of one's holiday experience. To manage your expectations, here's a laundry list of the upside and downside (if there is any) of staying at The Pod.
Excellent customer service (special thanks to Sue, Aty and Wynn)
Overall cleanliness (rooms, common/shared bathrooms, lobby, stairs, kitchen area)
The best FREE amenities (breakfast, Nespresso coffee, wi-fi, self service laundry, use of business pods (with laptop and phone), use of adaptor (if available), private showers with hot&cold water, left luggage area and complimentary bottle of mineral water which I suggest you bring should you be walking outside the whole day
Walking distance to MRT Staion (Nicoll Highway)
Bus stop (Beach Road) is in front of the hotel
Walking distance to Keypoint (with bus coach services going to Kuala Lumpur)
Key card for secured access to rooms and lockers
Choice of pods (front entry, side entry, queen pods, all female or mixed)
Towels changed daily
And my personal favorite- the most comfortable bed and pillows
Hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor of the building, if you have heavy luggage, this can be a concern.
If you wake up late, there is a chance that breakfast will be consumed, but then again, they have a steady supply of bread and cereal should the breakfast run out.
