“Great..”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

Booked the suite room. Had a good time there. Cant find nothing wrong with the room except for the lack of light in the toilet. Practically bathing half blind but everything else was superb. The room was huge which was great but pratically empty. A few furniture like sofas or tables would be a nice compliment to the suite room. overall, room was great. And yeah.. a window would be nice too.

The location of Bliss is right at Chinatown station exit and just across from Chinatown Point (a big shopping mall). A great place to
find food and go shopping whenever you want for it's near Smith Street, Temple Street, 24hr Mcdonald, hong kong style breakfast opens early and various of popular local restaurants.

I stayed at superior king room. The room was not big but suficient for travelers that comes back only to sleep. The only problem is that the shower runs out of hot water in 5 minutes, so I had to rush out of shower fast. Also there was no window in the room, for those who wish to have sunshine pouring in in the moring, you might want to ask in advanced.

Over all, Bliss is a suitible choice for buget limited travelers or those who'd rather go out enjoy the city than staying in hotels for swimming pool and boring breakfasts.

We stayed at the Bliss hotel over Easter 2014. Although the hotel was in a pretty decent location to get around via MRT, the rooms where unusual to say the least. You really shouldn't stay for more than one or two nights.

If I was to suggest anything, I would pay slightly more for a hotel... with a window!

Having said that the rooms where clean and the staff very friendly.

Room Tip: Dont stay in room 01... It's next to the cleaners cupboard and they start at 5.30.

Singapore is a very expensive city but one way of keeping costs down is to stay near Chinatown and the hawker market. Great cheap food and close to the MRT. The hop on, hop off bus stop is also only 100m away at Peoples Place. Room was small but very functional. The only downside was a good big shower which unfortunately flooded the whole floor unless a towel was strategically placed on the floor. Staff were exceptional and the hotel provides a shower facility prior to late check out. We'll be back.

Room Tip: We were on the roadside ( Room 3109) but experienced only minimal noise. Shower problem may be confi...

We spent 3 nights at Bliss Hotel, the location is great for Chinatown but is close enough to everywhere else also. The only downside is the noise from outside, the windows aren't double glazed so a lot of the noise outside is carried into the rooms, things quieten down a little in the evenings when the 20 foot TV is turned off :). The rooms themselves are modern and well appointed, the staff are friendly and happy to help.

Room Tip: Try to book a room at the back of the hotel, this may be quieter than the front that sits on a main...

The room was nice with an awesome shower, but it was small, with no window, and not a lot of sink space. The location was excellent, near good food and hawker markets and we were able to walk everywhere or take the MRT (subway) across the street.

This is generally a good hotel, and without the shortcomings I would have given it five stars. Its location is excellent as it is situated right next to Chinatown MRT, and it is very modern inside with charismatic lighting and quality fixtures. The rooms are small but contain all that one would expect: fridge, room safe, television, and facilities for making hot drinks. Cleanliness was excellent, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable. I particularly liked the minimalist design. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check-in, check-out procedure was uneventful. More hanging space in the rooms would be appreciated, particularly for wet towels and the like. The shower unit and toilet were combined into a single wet room, accessed by an inward opening door which unfortunately lacked enough clearance. Wifi was freely available and fairly fast. More numerous and conveniently placed electrical sockets would have been appreciated.

The major issue is that the room in which I stayed had no outside window, so the room felt very small and oppressive. However, the lighting and air conditioning were perfectly adequate. The single lift services the fourth floor, and the fifth floor can only be accessed by a tight spiral staircase, something to be aware of if one has heavy or awkward luggage. I am not sure that I would stay here again unless I could be assured of a room with a window which was not on the fifth floor.

Room Tip: The top floor is not serviced by the lift. Be aware there are rooms without windows.
