“Quick bite for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

Visited food hall for lunch recently with hubby and kids, your place your order at each stand. We decided to share a few dishes: Penang Char Kway Teow (which was lovely and just the right amount of spice), Satay sticks (very good and cooked to order) and claypot chicken rice (bit disappointing and lots of bones in the chicken, possibly the traditional way though).

Dishes approx SGD 6-8 each and drinks SGD 3.

Clean eating area and restrooms, enjoyed our lunch.

“Average food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

Nice décor which looks like traditional Malaysian shophouses. There are not many shophouses left in Singapore to see these days.

I ordered salted fish claypot chicken rice. Loved the salted fish bits. My mom ordered Penang Char Kway Teow. Hers was quite bland. Other family members ordered satay. It was okay but not fantastic. We also had bak kut teh. Herbs taste in the broth was quite overpowering.
I do not recommend this place.

“Better than the food in the Universal Studios Singapore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

After all the rides in the Universal Studios, me and my daughter walked over to the Malaysian Food Street to have a drink. Have lunch in the theme park but still feeling a bit hungry, so ordered a plate of fried kuay teow to share. Yummy. Quite surprise to find out that it actually taste quite good, and the price is only S$5.50, very reasonable in a tourist place like this. Very much value for money as compared what we have in the theme park. Regretted not to walk out to have lunch here instead.

“Nothing much”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Food is average for the price they charge. Could have better food if we take the monorail to Vivo's Republic's Foodcourt.
