My partner and I had a memorable experience at this restaurant. Located opposite the Sultan Mosque, the restaurant was packed with locals, but the friendly and obliging host put up a table on the footpath, so we enjoyed the mosque as a backdrop, whilst we ate. We also enjoyed watching the dough being stretched and the murtabak being prepared. We shared a $12 chicken murtabak. The chicken filling was extremely generous, the sauce was richly flavoured, but not too spicy. The crispy, eggy, rich roti surrounding it was delicious. Extra (spicier) sauce and what seemed to be a plate of cucumber and tomato sauce, were served on the side. A cheap, scrumptious meal in a great location, this should be a 'must-do' experience for tourists in the Arab Street area.
