“Tea for two, or three, or four or more...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2013

Superb selection of teas. I always end up buying one of their blends. Oh, and the African Tea Jelly is so tasty on the scones. Yum! A nicely chilled glass of champagne also goes very well with their menu.

“Very English .I felt like Alice in Wonderland .”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is a superb experience for tea lovers. It is so popular we had to wait for at least 15 minutes for a table for afternoon tea but it was worth the wait. A large variety of teas to select from, served in fine china cups We selected the scones with jam and cream and they were delicious .The service was excellent with the waiter explaining the large options on the menu .The location is on top of a bridge with boats being rowed under you.Perfect for people watching.I'll be back on my next trip to Singapore

“Service getting worse and dishonest...!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Not to mention its location and ambience, you may see how popular it is while seeing people wait to get a seat in a long que. However I've been there for several times and every time I found the service is getting worse. Waiter and waitress no smile on their face, the ice cream top on my crepes is half melted already when they serve on table, veal dry like paper, the worst thing is, there is only below half filled of tea in that BIG tea pot!!! And of course not refillable. I like this place but hopping the management could see this review to improve its software, otherwise it will become like a cheating tourist store here as every time it costs you more than SGD 100 to order two set of its menu.

“For tea lovers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2013

Love the tea and the concept TWG is selling. Not so sure about the main dishes, the portion was small and they can really put a bit more soul in the cooking. The tea selection is the main selling point and the desserts were quite good in presentation and taste. It was quite sweet to see the 'bridge' and 'boats' that rowed under the bridge. It is a good place to rest your feet after a long shopping day. Recommendable for afternoon tea but not so much for lunch or dinner.

“A little bit of England in the heart of a Singapore mega shopping mal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

If you are fond of 'Betty's' in Harrogate or York, you will love Salon de The in the Marina Bay shopping mal. Despite the name, it is very English and serves a remarkable selection of teas, all beautifully served in silver tea pots with china cups. The cakes are excellent and although we didn't sample it, the full 'afternoon tea' also looked very appetising. It's a lovely spot to sit and people watch or just recover from spending fortunes in the wonderful designer shops!
