Handy for the airport and shops
Wanting somewhere close to the airport we used this as a 24 hour stopover on the way back to Northern Europe. It was a bit pricey but we managed to get a discount by booking several months early. According to the hotel reception this hotel has only been open for two months. Everything had that brand new feel and there had been no expense spared on fitting out the rooms. The room was spacious with a bedroom come lounge and desk working area all spotlessly clean. There was a kitchenette with electric hob, refrigerator and plenty of cups saucers, plates and cutlery if you felt inclined to eat in. The bathroom was generous in size and if anything the shower was oversized, the bed was comfortable but if you are a light sleeper you would need to switch the a/c off or be disturbed by the noise of the fan. The room came with a security safe and a luggage storage come dressing area. It had an air of luxury and it made you feel at home. The lift above the second floor needs an electronic door pass to ascend but I’m not sure how effective it was in keeping out non guests. Unfortunately both the girls on the reception that served me were not very well trained. Firstly they couldn’t find our prepaid reservation on check in and the girl on check out tried to charge me again. If you needed anything to be done it was best to button hole one of the floor managers who were only too pleased to help and sort out any queries that you had. The in room WiFi was effective and the Internet Apple Macs in the reception area were a joy to use. The small gym was nicely equipped but might be crowded at peak times and the outdoor swimming pool looked very tempting. We were able to use the gym changing rooms to wash , brush up and change before leaving for our late evening flight and then got a lift to the airport in the hotel bus. The quite heavy breakfast was a bit pricey so we took a lighter version from the in house coffee shop which proved to be adequate. The shopping mall adjacent to the hotel does not open until 10:00 am and downstairs is a food court where you can find all kinds of different Asian foods for lunch or dinner. The Expo metro station is a few minutes walk away where you can get a train into the city to see the sights.
