My wife and I went here at the end of feb 2013. We had a great time.
We travelled here from singapore centre by public transport and it took quite a long time. We got the MRT to Ang Mo Kio then got the 138 (I think!) bus. Its clearly signed and right outside the MRT station. We arrived at about 6.30pm.
There are two shows you can see. One of which was some african firebreathing warriors. Quite good. We then zipped ober to the outdoor stage just before then end of the first show to get in the queue for that as the first one is at 7.30pm.
We did this rushing around as, although the park is open til 12 midnight approx, the MRT stops at around 11.30pm so you have to leave the park at about 10.20pm to make it back.
So we saw the second show, with many animals featuring. Very good, although they made the 4 year old volunteer cry his eyes out!
Then we took the tram around the park looking at the animals. All of which were easily viewed. Great. The only downside is, when we were approaching the tiger enclosure they said he may be hard to spot. As we went past he came out in full view yet the tram accelerated away not allowing us a good look. We nearly broke our necks craning backwards to see!
Overall a very good experience though
