We saw an evening concert ( violin, piano, and guitar ) staring 3 young up and coming local musicians who were extremely talented. The recital hall was quite impressive -- 3 story ceilings, amazing acoustics, beautiful wood floor, and raised stacked seats - not a bad seat the the house ( first come first serve ). This smaller venue within the large Esplanade complex seats about 200. But get there early to ensure you get a good seat to view the piano keyboard which was center stage. Also, they take away water bottles and check them for you just like luggage. Funny at first, but since the venue is so beautiful, I now understand why.
Highly recommend after the concert, take a stroll outside. There is a connecting bridge for cars and pedestrians a block away with spectacular views of the city, the spouting lion, the skywheel, and the three buildings with the garden connecting rooftop. Amazing at night.
