“Love this place but hate the breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

Well, its a perfect place if you love to stay at hotel with apartment concept...

I went with my parents and my brother, we stayed at 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathroom, living room and kitchen.. Refrigerator and washing machine are provided. Free Wifi and nice TV channels.
The MRT is near, walk about 5 minutes and have bus station in front hotel - good access to Orchard, Chinatown or Marina Bay area...

Yes thats true, its a bit noisy - coz the MRT constructions until 2017 (if I am not mistaken) but I dont have any problem - I can sleep very well for my 4 nights stays..

Breakfast is lousy, I decided to skip the breakfast after I came the 2nd day - but my parents always went there and complain according lack of various foods (below hotel standard from my opinion - no sausages, no egg counter for sunny side up or omellete), even sometimes the foods already empty in the stall and we should wait quite long or we should inform them...

at least the hotel near 24 hours of Mc Donalds store and Kopitiam (open at 10am) so usually me and my brother prefer to eat our breakfast there..

No housekeeping service on Sunday, and you better bring your shampoo, soap, toothpaste by yourself..

I love to stay again in this hotel even lousy breakfast LOL

Room Tip: If you cant handle the noisy of MRT construction, you better ask to get the view to Novotel Hotel...

This serviced residence is normally comfortable after staying here several times before. However, on this stay there is construction site happening right next door and I hardly slept as it continued most of the night.
Not the properties fault but surely it will affect their business. I believe the city is building a new MRT station so in the future it will be a great positive point.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is very limited. Staff super friendly.

Room Tip: Stay on the other side of the construction site.

Our family (2 Adults & a toddler) spent a week at the Somerset Liang Court in October 2012 on the 11th Floor in a 2 bedroom apartment. Here's are brief run down of our experience:

OVERALL
* Perfect apartment for families in Singapore
* We would stay here again & have already recommended it to friends with kids
* Construction noise & Night Club may bother some people - we were OK with it

POSITIVES
* Very friendly & helpful staff - it was a real pleasure to stay with them
* Well located in Clarke Quay
* Apartment was clean & cleaned regularly
* Apartment was a modern but not "up to the minute" - a little "worn around the edges" but not bad by any means
* After an exhaustive online search the price of the Apartment halved one day - be persistent in looking for bargains
* Breakfast was basic hotel style - Scrambled eggs under a bain-marie, etc
* Pool was clean, well maintained & is shared with the Novotel Clarke Quay
* Taxi stand is on River Valley Road - never a long wait
* Supermarket (Meidi-Ya) & Liquor Store is accessible through the B2 level of the hotel - very handy
* "THIRSTY" International Beer shop also located in adjoining building on L2 - great range (USA, European Japanese & Australian) & they do free delivery anywhere in Singapore
* Food Court & Restaurants in adjoining building good for quick, cheap meals
* Fort Canning is across the road for a peaceful break from the city

NEGATIVES
* Construction for the Fort Canning Train Station was consistent all day but never really bothered us too much - noise was from 10:00 - 19:00 daily. This is likely to continue until mid 2013. Ask for a room facing the Novotel or the River if Daytime noise will be an issue
* Weekend noise (night club bass etc) from Clarke Quay was very loud at times into the early hours. That said "If you don't like planes, don't live near the airport". Rooms facing the Novotel & the River will get more of the Night noise.

Hope this helps.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Novotel or the River if Daytime noise will be an issue. Rooms facing the...

Wow!!! After reading review after review and searching for accommodation for family of 5 we decided to rely on trip advisor reviews and book here...to our delight it was perfect. We had rm 2501 and it was terrific, roomy , clean and suited our needs perfectly. Yes there was some construction noise even at level 25 but it didn't bother us.

We arrived early and staff did all they could to get us in by lunch and we were given access to pool and restrooms while we waited. We enjoyed the simple but satisfying breakfast each morning and never had to wait for a table and if something was low staff were more than happy to replenish stocks. We liked having washing and ironing convenience and used the pool a couple of times.

Location was great... Caught bus 195 to most places and used mrt daily. Restaurants at Clark quay expensive but beautiful food ....food court in adjoining shopping ctr cheap and convenient. Supermarket in mall also very convenient.

Overall everything here met our needs and have already recommended to family and friends who will be visiting in the near future.

We visited Singapore for 8 nights as a family of 5 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Liang Court. Having tried and failed to find a hotel to accommodate us all we came across this apartment which was a much cheaper (and better) option. The apartment was lean and spacious and the kitchen was very well equipped. The location was fabulous with a supermarket in the same building and the subway 5 minutes away. The shared pool area was great for the kids as well. Only two minor quibbles: the hallways etc were very rundown, getting out of the lift on our floor for the first time I was worried but the apartments themselves were lovely. Also breakfast was disappointing but with a full kitchen we just ate in the room. I have no hesitation at all i recommending this property.

When we first arrived the room we were given was not what we requested however the great staff sorted it out quicly. The first room was a bit tired and bathroom tiling needed replacing. Needed more towels for bathrooms without having to ask for them.
We booked a residential apartment which was better value and $200 cheaper for our small family of three than two hotel rooms at Novotel. The breakfast included was very meagher with a very limited variety. The breakfast area is a very small area and access to food was marred by the lack of room to manouvre back to your table with a full cup of coffeee and a breakfast plate. I would forgoe the bkfast and pay for a Macdonalds now and then which is only next door!
Bathroom needed more towel rails.
For a family the residential apartments are good value but would stay in hotel next door if it was just my husband and I

I recently stayed at Somerset Liang Court Serviced Apartments with my 2 daughters and grandaughter for a total of 8 nights. The accommodation was spacious and the service we received daily was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the front desk - e.g. needing more keys, ignorant of the tv settings - always a smile when leaving or arriving back. Everything was given with a smile. The breakfasts were very good and plentifiul. We were on the 11th floor and the noise from MRT was there but did not worry us. Would recommend to anyone who desires a clean, comfortable and cheery accommodation. Location great.
