“Osaka Japanese food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Went there with my wife to try this restaurant. Can be crowded so don't go during lunch time unless you are prepared to queue. Service is quick for our order. We order an ala carte salmon version of the Osaka favorite. It is quite good though small portion. We also order a Caesar salad. Again, smaller than expected but probably good enough for lunch.

The miso soup is salty though. Make sure you add more water into the soup.

When we paid the bill, the cashier must be having a tough day. She didn't smile, did thank us for our visit nor welcome us to come again. I am a little surprise that such front line staff didnt or couldn't smile.

“Average jap fair for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2012

Went a couple of times with colleagues during lunch rush hour. Service can be slow. Food is only average for the price. This is nothing like Sushi Tei. It serves up more modern & fusion type of Jap food, think sausages in Jap omelettes.

I will probably only go for convenience. Not my choice place for a good meal especially in authentic Jap food.

“MSG Town!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

The only difference between the "original Singapore" crayfish ramen and the mabo ramen is the crayfish in one and tofu in the other.
MSG has varying effects on different people. Some get sleepy, some can't sleep, some get nightmares (Peter) but however it affects you, if it's in thd food, if should be advertised like, "MSG used in our dishes". No need to add warnings. Just tell us. If we know we can take defensive action like drinking a can of coke or whatever.
Not sure about the other ramen but the two we ordered tasted exactly the same.
Please someone else go out there, check it out and let us know.
