a bit difficult to get there, you have to take a bus after you reach the MRT station somewhere in the north west, but worth it!
the last real and big angrove of Singapore, with a lot of free varangs, and you can really seee crocodiles there :-)

i came earlier in July and saw no birds as July is not exactly migratory season for birds heading south until sept, oct, nov.
Quite many storks evening time but cannot see jumping fishes with water very muddy (rainy season, monsoon washes more soil in the marsh.river.
Here are some pictures with a few birds you expect to see. remember you can see wild birds all year around. If you really want to see migratory birds another place to go is Kakadu Nature Reserve in Darwin Australia.
The park closes at 7pm and you will not have time to walk the whole reserve if you arrive after 530pm as it takes 2 + hr to walk 6km

With about 2-4 miles of hikes, Sungei Buloh isn't the largest, but it is one of the quietest reserves in SG. Good place to do some birding or immerse in some nature time. Since it skirts the Kranji "farmlands", its worth doing a farm tour after your hike...
A great place for a getaway from the city life of the city. This is a good place to explore the last remaining mangrove swarms of Singapore. Just beware of the mosquitoes and the loitering big lizards.
It is accessible by public transportation only on weekends. Take the SMRT Service 925 from Kranji MRT fr the bus stop at the same side of the station.
This is where the feel of nature comes real close. Living in tall building and city centre nothing beats hearing birds, insects chirping away. Trees n plants everywhere, greenery is what i missed.
