The gardens are a don't miss event while visiting Singapore. The Gardens are easily accessed by taking the MRT (subway) with a botanical gardens station or by taxi.
We enjoyed the various portions of the gardens including the sun dial gardens, fern gardens and mostlyly the Orchid gardens. Most of the trees and plants through out the expansive gardens have little signs denoting what the plants are named and origin.
To visit the Orchid gardens, a small fee is required, but it's worth the price. You see orchids on display named after famous people including kings and queens. When you go, plan on spend at least 4 or more hours walking around and maybe having lunch at a great restaurant located in the center of the gardens called Halia.
