“Could not fault”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2009

Lovely, classy yet subtle hotel. Very modern, not an old hotel which has been refurbished like a lot of others in Singapore. Great location (next to the convention centre, and very close to the Singapore Flyer), and importantly its away from the noisy bars and jaded and well worn tourist area of Clark Quay (but still close enough to be only a short $5 taxi ride away if you do want to go there, which I would recommend doing at least once if you haven't seen Clark Quay before).

From the concierge staff to the front desk staff to the housekeeping staff to the restaurant staff to the business lounge staff, I just cannot fault. The concierge staff were so very attentive and helpful in arranging day tours. The front desk staff upon checkin, personally escorted us to our room and explained everything we wanted to know along the way.

It was lovely to relax by the not crowded and large swimming pool in the Singaporean afternoon heat, and be able to order meals and drinks from the poolside bar and have these served to you whilst lounging by the pool. So very relaxing .......

We travelled as a family of two adults and two children, and whilst I get the impression that this hotel is not the first choice for families (probably due to its price), the hotel was still very accommodating for the children.

The only complaint I would make (if I had to make one) would be the speed of service in the lobby restaurant (Oscar's) during even the non busy times. Whilst the food was lovely, it was just too slow. For instance, we were booked in to do an evening tour and had one hour to have dinner prior to going out on the tour. We sat down and ordered. Forty minutes into the hour, the food had still not arrived (and this as before the dinner rush had even begun). After some reminders to the wait staff, the food did arrive with fifteen minutes to spare. So we quickly ate the food, so what was to have been a leisurely and relaxing dinner, turned into a worrying half hour or so as to why the food hadn't arrived yet, followed by a quickly eaten dinner in about 10-15 minutes, which was somewhat annoying (and which with young kids is often difficult to have them eat so quickly). But as everything else about the hotel was just so good, this one thing didn't sour our opinion of the property even in the slightest.

If we ever visit Singapore again, this will be the only place I will stay. Conrad Hilton would indeed be proud !

Best hotel we have ever stayed in, and we've travelled extensively. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location was excellent and the king executive room and facilities outstanding. We arrived early after a night on a plane from Italy and they cheerfully allowed us to check in early, and advised us that we were welcome to breakfast too. They then allowed us to check out 6 hours late when we left, as the room was available. This helped us enormously given our awkward flight times.

Our stay at the Conrad Centennial was the highlight of our trip to Singapore. I debated between a handful of other hotels, but after finding a great deal on Expedia for 2 nights in an Executive Room, we decided to go w/ the Conrad.

We bypassed the long line at reception and were taken immediately up to the "executive check-in" on the upper floors of the hotel. After checking in, we were invited for complimentary drinks and appetizers in the executive lounge. There is free wifi in this area, so each evening we would enjoy a glass of wine while catching up on emails/work.

We happened to be in Singapore for their independence day.. so we enjoyed spectacular views of the fireworks from our room. The hotel room amenities were fabulous.. my boyfriend enjoyed the large TV/entertainment center while I enjoyed the large bathtub with top of the line hair products.

The staff was extremely helpful as well. They helped us organize the hop on/off City bus tour & had countless restaurant recommendations. Be sure to have a Singapore Sling at Long Bar (Raffles Hotel) and have chili crab when visiting Singapore!

After a few weeks of holidays in Bali, we wanted to do a stop in Singapore and find an hotel relaxing and providing the highest standards of service. We booked for an Executive Room at Conrad Centennial and we have been more than happy about this excellent choice for such an incredible value for money...

First of all, this Conrad is a true five stars property offering to the guests the highest standard of service. It's similar of what you can find in any Peninsula or Ritz Carlton but for a more attactive price. Our amazing room was ultra comfy located at the 28th floor with great views of the Singapore skyline. The room was typically "Conrad" similar to the one i've had in Bangkok or Hong Kong with the very best bed i've never had in any other hotel. I was almost ready to buy the incredible pillows and i've never had such a good sleep. It means apart of the ultra luxury comfort, the soundproofing is just perfect, the blackout simply great and the cleanliness absolutely exceptionnal. About the decoration, Conrad Centennial is luxuriously classic with some nice details which remember you the location of the hotel and a very relaxing scheme of soft colours. And nothing to tell about the equipment cause you'll find in your room everything you need.

The bathroom is really bright with separate shower and bathtub and a selection of luxurious amenities smelling so good... Once again, the cleanliness is everywhere and it's a real pleasure to spend time in your marble bathroom.

The Executive room comes with a lot of benefits at the Club Executive floor lounge. You'll find a dedicated staff sooo perfect, elegant, smily and helpful always ready to make of your experience in this hotel a memorable one. Apart of a personnalized check in and check out, you'll have a yummy complimentary breakfast in the peaceful atmosphere of the lounge; an afternoon tea with an extended choice of delicious sandwiches and cakes; the popular "Evening cocktails and canapés" with free flow of champagne if you're a fan and different dishes all delicious. Actually, it's more a little dinner than a cocktail time and it's until 8pm which is very convenient. Moreover, at any time you want, you'll be always welcome for a complimentary soft drink or tea/coffee and there is free wifi in the lounge as well... It's a little bit more expensive than a Classic room but it's more than worth it.

With a large Fitness center, a refreshing pool and a location just perfect for shopping, this hotel is undoubtly the best choice in Singapore, a wonderful cocoon of luxury, "art de vivre" and exceptionnal service i'll always choose for all my upcoming trips in the Orchid city...

We all ended up with flea bites after our first night, we did report it to the management who were very helpful and even bought up some antiseptic.

Stayed here for a couple of days for the Inaugral 2008 Formula 1 race before moving on to a hotel nearby. This hotel is just sheer opulence and efficiency. I was upgraded to a high floor executive room with floor to ceiling windows overlokking downtown Singapore. Amazing when you consider that F1 was in town (Ron Dennis and Lewis Hamilton were staying here) and I paid for the rooms using Hilton points...
Quality, professional staff and FANTASTIC attentive service.

Totally recommended

Stayed at the Conrad as the first of three hotels. Took advanatge of the Hilton's two for one deal and thus upgraded to an executive room at no more cost than a standard room.

The room was a good size, massive LCD TV, large bathroom with seperate shower and bath, nice view of the fountain of wealth, spotlessly clean, all very comfortable.

Lobby and public areas all nicely done with pleasent ambience, would especially commend the concierge and staff in the lobby - very helpful indeed - always there to greet you and be of assistance.

I also enjoyed the pool area - the pool is all one depth which I prefer for swimming, never seemed crowded. Nice view of the flyer.

Club level view is OK, but inevitably mostly lots of other hotels. Food was varied each evening and always good quality. You also have the option to take breakfast in Oscars which I recommend for a wide choice and not overally busy if you go early.

Choice of drinks was OK, white, red and sparkling durling the day and beer in a basket at happy hour. Lounge service varied between excellent - taking time out to explain the different ingredients of each dish - and ignored. Sat for 30 minutes one evening without being asked if I wanted anything. Also, one time the lounge was too full and I was asked to sit in a conference room where two businessmen were having a meeting - awkward for all of us I think.

Finally, location is good, near the esplanade and the flyer, and a huge carrefour across the road for any bits and pieces, but is a bit of a walk to the MRT after a long day until they open the new station right nearby.

Would definately stay there again - especially if could get a good deal. But perhaps not at the Club Level.
