“Great Leader & Great Service & Great Team”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2011

I am a American and have been working in Indonesia for the last 16+ years, and came to Singapore so many times, and stayed at many different hotels (5 star).etc. I now work for Fluor Corporation, and took a new job in Mongolia last year and travel through Singapore on roster breaks. My company Fluor (travel) orignaily scheduled me to stay at the Land Mark Village Hotel, as this hotel is next door to the Mongolian Embassy. When I arrived and checked in at the reception desk, this gentleman, came up to me, and introduced himself as Andrew Tan (Assistant Front Office Manager). Saying this, I have never had a front office manager welcome me to his hotel, in my 35 years of traveling, and don't anyone else who has. This guy and his team have made my many stays at the Land Mark an absolute pleasure. The service is great, and the location is walking distance, and short taxi rides (<S$ 5.00 or S$6:00), and the taxi service seems to be always be availble at the Land Mark for some reason. The bottom line, the quality of my stay at this hotel has made me feel like it was my home away from home, and would recommend to anyone looking for a happy stay, the Land Mark Village is the place.

Room Tip: Contact Andrew Tan this guy is absoulety great, and I promise he will make your stay the best ever...

good hotel with average service.facilities in the room are very nice.
the comfort level is good.the hotel has a good pool and a good fitness centre.
it is brilliently located with most shopping destinations at a walkable distance.
there a few shops and currency converter at the enterence of the hotel itself.
the restaurants food is good.specially the indian food.
transport facilities available at the hotels doorstep itself.
staff is decent as well.

My wife and I stayed here for about 4 days and had a nice time. Best thing about the hotel is location. Places like Sim Lim Square, Mustafa, Bugis Junction were at walking distance. Transportation was not a problem at all. Rooms were big, clean and well maintained. The retaurant was great. We didn't try facilities such as swimming pool, gym, etc. as we were busy sight-seeing. Tourism counters inside the hotel were an added bonus. Money exchange was also just outside.Hotel staff was helpful. Would not mind staying again in this hotel at all. only thing I would look forward to is free Wifi ;)

Room Tip: If you like then go for rooms with tubs.

After reading some reviews of this hotel, I was not sure what to expect!
I stayed here with my two sisters and elderly mother in adjoining rooms on the 17th floor in an "executive room". The rooms were comfortable, clean and had all we needed. We had a problem with the safes, but after a call to housekeeping, was fixed in no time. We found all the staff very courteous and could not do enough to help.
We loved the drinks and nibbles in the Executive Lounge and found the staff on duty there incredibly friendly. It was a chance to meet other guests staying at the hotel and enjoy beautiful views of the city.
We found the breakfasts to be somewhat average, but enough to keep us going!
The proximity of the hotel to the Bugis MRT was fantastic and we utilised both trains and buses. The hotel is very close to some wonderful eating places around Arab Street and we were able to walk everywhere without a problem and enjoy not only the cheap food but some quirky shops in beautiful old buildings.
I am returning to Singapore in January 2012 and have booked this hotel once again for my family. I consider it to be fantastic value for money whilst staying in an executive room.
Very much looking forward to another wonderful stay at "Landmark Village Hotel"!

Room Tip: Definitely pay that bit extra for an executive room!

A nice hotel for a short stay. Spacious rooms, clean bathrooms, good view, good location (arab street) makes it a convenient place to stay in Singapore. It s close to SIM LIM square (walkable distance), so all those eager to buy cell phones will find it convenient. Service is good. Overall, a comfortable and a convenient place to chose in Singapore.

I had the most awful time at Landmark Village. The reception staff was rude and unhelpful. Once we checked in, we were shocked to find that our bathroom was dirty, the bath tub had stains, the lamp in the bedroom had expletives written on them, there was no room service menu and the fridge was empty except for a half eaten kit kat chocolate! A low class hotel will also have a well stocked fridge. When we left for breakfast on the 5th floor, the woman at the desk looked at us up and down and said ,"The indian breakfast is on 3rd floor, are u sure you want to go in?". We were shocked with her comment. When we approached the reception to use the internet, the reception lady didnt even bother looking up and looked sullen and disgusted. The people at the reception are the most pathetic, rude and immature employees i have ever come across. When we came back after a day of sight seeing at 6, our room wasnt even cleaned! and when we called housekeeping, they made us wait for 2 hours at the reception so they can clean the room, surprisingly, the chocolate was still there! Apart from a good location, i would not recommend this hotel to anybody

I was very dissapointed with the hotel. Staff we not helpful and unfriendly. Room stinks and the carpet is so old that rugged. The whole hotel needs a good clean and smells really old. Not a good experience at all and I do not recommend you staying at this hotel at all.
