I've stayed here several times on business and pleasure.

Rooms are averaged size but are well kept and very clean. Breakfast was included in my room rate and was delicious and extensive with a fully international flare.

Free wi-do is included, but it isn't the fastest. It gets the job done, but don't expect to Skype or FaceTime home consistently.

Check-in was fast and efficient. No problems during the stay and I'll be sure to be back.

We stayed at Traders hotel for 4 nights in January. There were three of us and we found the room to be very comfortable. We did upgrade the room so that we had more space given that we needed a rollaway bed. We had plenty of room to walk around the roll away bed and not feel like were on top one another. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pool was fantastic and we used it everyday, after being out looking around Singapore.
We ate a couple of times at the cafe next to the pool. It was a little expensive but it was convenient. The food was good. Breakfast was amazing. There was a wide variety of food available for breakfast.
Service was excellent. Staff were very friendly and willing to assist.
We would definitely stay at Traders again.

Hotel decor is dated but clean and efficiently run.

Stayed here because i need to goto bukit timah and shop for my mrs in orchard.

Room decor is dated, corridor is endless - is the impression i get from this hotel.

You do not need an access card to get to the hotel rooms.

Somehow feels that it is meant for small traders rather than business man.

The major upside is that it was cheaper than most hotels along orchard road, free newspaper, wifi and breakfast included. Tough to get something like that along orchard road.

I choose this hotel as I always prefer Shangri-la group hotels. Spent 3 nights, room was small and nice location as not far from Orchard road. Hotel provides shuttle service to ION and always can get decent taxi service to Orchard road. Bathroom was very small and outdated.
For breakfast on 2nd day we’re directed to ballroom on the 2/3 floor. Clearly the hotel was close to capacity which the restaurant located near the check-in cannot accommodate the capacity. Breakfast arrangement in ballroom not managed well. I would suggest there is a better system in the restaurant for busy times or if needs alternative venue to support the capacity, do plan ahead for batter arrangement.
To summarize- Staff are friendly and efficient, room is decent size, very clean, but hotel is showing it's age.
