Good Hotel. Go to breakfast buffet at beetween 9.30 to 10.30 nobody bother checking your room. even if they ask your room number just tell the next room number. buffet breakfast was superb. internet access is so lousy and damm expensive.
they ask 11.50 for an hour or 39 dollars for a day.
that is very bad. just give some$20 to the recepcionist she will give you a best room in the hotel

although not up to its former glory the Orchid Inn is a bargain price nowadays - booked through expedia.co.nz at NZ100 a night including full breakfast for two. The rooms are quite spacious and reasonably furnished. Courtesy Bus to shopping, MRT is a good 20 min walk.

Too far from town. Tired & dated hotel in need of total refurbishment. Staff seem totally aware of room problems, as quite willing to move us until suitable room located. Smelt quite musty. Staff very helpful and doing the best they could in difficult circumstances. You get what you pay for, and this is DEFINITELY a budget hotel. Have advised our travel agent not to use in the future. Only suitable for one night budget stopovers, where you do not want to do any sightseeing.

Copthorne Orchid is a basic hotel with tired looking furniture. What totally caught me off-guard was when I was told that I would be charged $4 for a replenishment of tea/coffee supplies.
