just spent 7 nites here.i go to spore often and stayed in different hotels from 3 to 5 star. This is a very good 3 star in my opinion. it is definitely too far to walk to the MRT. I recommend catching the bus from outside the hotel. the routes are at the bus-stop they are frequent and cheap. e.g if you get off at chinatown MRT station walk to the bus stop pass OG dept. store in People's Park there are two buses will drop you right outside the hotel. i bought a ez link card. The hotel also runs a shuttle if you can fit in.
do not eat the scramble egg from the display at breakfast. it is the most disgusting. the chef is there to cook whatever egg you want fresh and v. gd.although it is not advertised.i only found out as i saw a guest waiting for his egg.my only complain is the attitude of the chef, to get me to accept a plain omelette he had cooked earlier and when i refused as i wanted a ham omelette he showed his displeasure.chef, learn to smile and say no problem! singapore itself is food heaven.

A conference in Singapore brought us to this Hotel. Fantastic View, very near to the River. Good and clean rooms, a very polite and ready-to-help staff. Very good location for Breakfast on open terrace. Even after check-out, one can request for an evening shower before taking the flight back home. A very good Hotel and a value for the money.

Excellent service from arrival to departure. A free upgrade to a spacious room on arrival. Greal location for food/nightlife at Clarke Quay (just 10 mins on foot).
Great food both breakfast and dinner.
I stayed previously at the Meritus Mandarin that cost considerably more, yet this hotel beats it in every way!

The superior room was small, but clean and the furniture looked new and stylish. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is situated a bit far away from everything (25min walk to Orchard road, 20min to Chinatown) for someone who likes walking, but the taxis are cheapish so it didn't bother that much... I didn't like that they charge for the use of the internet (as they seem to do almost everywhere in Singapore!)

Due to a cancelled flight from Singapore onto Thailand we were lucky enough to spend 1 night in Singapore staying at the Copthorne Kings and it was perfect for our needs.

Hotel itself had nice, fair size rooms with comfortable bed, en suite bathroom/shower and a small balcony. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the hotel was modern and well kept and when we had some trouble using our safety deposit box (the person before had left it locked without leaving the code - clever...) they sent staff up to correct this within 5 mins so as not to waste any of our short time in Singapore.
Breakfast buffet was also fine with a choice of foods and drinks to suit most tastes.

Hotel is located near to the quays (Robertson, Boat etc) and is a nice walk along the river through all of the quays in the evening. Some people have mentioned this hotel is a little out of the way and we werent in Singapore long enough to comment on this but we found it to be within easy walking distance of the quay areas so perfect for our evening out in Singapore as the quays have plenty of shops, bars and restaurants as well as boat rides up and down the river for sight seeing if you wish.
Cabs and buses seemed plentiful to reach other areas if you wished.

Singapore is clean, pretty and safe and was the perfect stop over on our way to Thailand.
