“Great start to our Honeymoon and fantastic location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2011

Everything was perfect. Thankyou.

Room had such a magnificent view over the city and we loved the remote curtains. As it was our Honeymoon as soon as we arrived in the room we were sent flowers, chocolates and a congratulatory card. Such a nice touch.

The location is central and taxis are really reasonable.

location is great, the hotel is located in a major shopping centre, very convenient. check-in was quick, staff is friendly. stayed in the south wing, room is very pretty but so are those in other five-star hotels, so service is an important factor to be outstanding.

this stay i so look forward to after learning all the good reviews, was disappointing.
we checked if they have bolsters and requested for a firm pillow, and was informed that it will take 5-10 mins. not here yet, our 2nd call and they say they r on their way. third call, said they will come 2 mins later. Finally after 3hrs, a pillow was delivered (no bolster, no explanation).

Also, we took the weekend retreat which included 2 welcome drinks, nope not served and no mention of it.
during breakfast, we were seated at a table for two, when my partner and i came back with our food, it was taken by their Fairmont chef, who insisted that the table was his. wat mockery! so not wanting to make a scene, we gave up the table to THEIR STAFF.
also, there was a meat dish that was not cooked thoroughly, i ended up biting into a piece which was raw pink. we then told the waitress to inform the kitchen staff, and we did not see the dish after that.

Well, the breakfast spread was very good n extensive, but we werent really in the mood to eat.

to sum it up, i feel that Fairmont is too busy to pay attention to us after we were settled in our room. if you would like to stay there, do pay more for executive club for better experience. they will have time for u if u pay more. for the price of deluxe room US $300+, i would rather go back to Conrad which made us feel cozy and at hm, eg sending chocolates and fruits to our room after we settled in, we felt valued n satisfied. not forgetting quick service too. Bleah~

Enjoyed staying here for the past week. Location was excellent with fabulous shopping and restaurants nearby. Amazing views from some rooms. They had wifi in club rooms but not on lower floors which was frustrating - wifi should be a given these days. The pool was great as were the restaurants, although service was excruciatingly slow at times (but always friendly). All in all a comfortable stay. Would stay here again.

Second time I have stayed at Fairmont - forgot to do review last time. Great place to stay, incredible shops in complex, has food court and access to public transport underneath. Even has Subway! Free wifi in foyer which is great. Don't be put off my rather 'dark' reception. Everything else is fab. Love the pool area - you can lay out on your deck chair and order your food and drinks - just perfect. Don't miss a real gem across the road (no, not Raffles, which is also across the road) check out Chimes ... an old Orphanage which has been turned into great restaurants. Definitely worth checking out. Pay the extra money to join their Executive lounge area. Wine in Singapore unbelievably expensive - like $75 plus a bottle. Enjoy the Fairmont. You won't be disappointed. Highly recommend. P.s. view of new casino unbelievable.

It was a short business trip via Singapore back home to Melbourne from London. Missed my flight and was late by a good 12 hours. What greeted me at check-in was the thoughtful and sincere regards from the staff as well as the Resident Services Manager Shaik who was worried if I was well. They promptly arranged for a room which I found to be all set with soft music playing, lights dimmed, note and a package of cookies to soothe the harried nerves into oblivion. The service was excellent, always a friendly smile and greeting at every corner. The executive club was also well equiped and good value for money. The manager was always obliging and never failed to respond to every request no matter how big or small, as swiftly as possible. Couldnt ask for a better business hotel.

Perfect location right in the middle of the hotel district, although even the best rooms do not have sea view. That is to say, our view was impeccable - and having upgraded we had the pleasure of views on two sides.

The service is impeccable, things work - and the full lobby during mornings and nights gives a feeling of a busy, popular hotel.

Had a quick 2 night stopover and found the Fairmont great for our needs. It was located in a mall with all the shops i needed. Checked in at 2:00 am and Joanne at the desk was very cheerful. The room was of a good size for Singapore but it was a bit dated with stains on the curtains and the bed sheets had a hole in them.
Everyone in the hotel was very helpful and cheerful. Thomas, who came to get the bags at check out was darling. Had the taxi ready loaded by the time I got outside. Just great service.
