Im a frequent traveller and I have never written a negative review but this time I have to. I usually stayed at Grand Hyatt but this time I wanted to try something new. I was planning to stay 3 nights here but now I change it to 1 night and change to another hotel.
The service is excellent, everyone is nice and friendly. However the room went wrong big time.. I'm a light sleeper so I requested a quiet room, checked in at 2pm and got the room upgraded on Club Floor. The room is spacious but all the furniture are old, when I opened the door, the ventilation on the wall was full of dust and it's all over on the floor. I did not expect anything like this in a 5 star hotel...
And the room is not quiet at all, air con is loud and housekeeping was refilling the ice on the floor and I could actually hear him pressing the door bell next door and walked in to the room... I was planning to take some rest after landing but I couldn't, so I went out instead.
I didnt ask for room change as it is a club floor room already and I think everyroom is just the same as they all share the air con system. If I didn't pay so much money for that I may just let it go but the price is similar to four seasons and shangri la and I expect Regent can keep up the standard.
Anyway I will not come back again.

The hotel is clean, nice, comfortable, great service, great breakfast buffet, great gym, steam room and sauna, great location about 8 minutes walk to the Orchard road, shopping area! I love it that it is not right in the middle of shopping mall because it will be too busy and loud. So I love this hotel that it is located not too far from shopping places but not on the Orchard road or inside the shopping mall with noises and crowded people. I got to relax and enjoy quiet time after shopping and sightseeing. Love it and will go back again.

We arrived at 2:00 AM in the morning, all smiles every where. The Reception Desk checked us in immediately. No waiting time for check-in. Possibly we were lucky the room was ready at this time. The hotel was beautifully decorated during the xmas season. Our room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is situated where within a matter of minutes, you are In Orchard Road where all the high scale stores are located. We had lunch at the hotel's restaurant, Basilico. Great array of food, appetizers and desserts. Just great!! We used the Business Center, free of charge, and even printed out copies. Overall experience, a perfect stay. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Definitely one of the better hotels in Singapore. Also one of the older hotels which is maybe why it feels much more open and spacious than some other hotels in Singapore. When I checked hotels around the Orchard area it was one of the cheaper ones, which was surprising as I have stayed in much smaller and less impressive hotels that were more expensive. Rooms are big, beds are big, mattresses are soft and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The Christmas lights in the lobby area were beautiful and added to the attraction of the hotel as it is all built around a huge open central area. Location is great for Orchard rd, but also for Tanglin Mall and the Botanical gardens. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely use them again. Oh one last thought - I thought the breakfast was fantastic, and possibly one of the nicest I have ever had in a hotel.
