We spent three nights in December at the Marriott, Orchard Road, Singapore and they were just perfect. The rooms are spacious and light, well furnished right down to the fine bed linen. The staff were most helpful at all time. Being December we were able to enjoy the great Christmas lights in Orchard Road (they are rated amongst the top 10 in the world)
The swimming pool on the 5th floor is like an oasis after a day out.

We have just finished a 4 night stay here en route to Sydney. The hotel itself is very plush and the room we stayed in (29th floor) was newly refurbed and offered an excellent view of the Singapore skyline.
The Executive lounge offered an exceelent breakfast and the food and complimentary drinks between 1730 and 1930 were very welcome.
The staff are so friendly and efficient here, they make the place.
The only reason why I haven't scored it full marks is the prices.....very expensive for all foods and drinks, as an example a glass of wine in the bar is $18S, about £10.50 and a plastic bottle of evian water with a meal $8.50S, about £5.50. Also as mentioned by previous reviewers, the bar at the rear of the hotel was pretty empty apart from the working girls of the night that appeared to frequent it. Marriott should put a stop to this.

Stayed for three nights at this hotel recently and had a fantastic stay. It's a standard Marriott but defiantly has the JW level of service as well. Very large rooms with somewhat of a restricted view due to tall buildings located next to hotel. Comfortable rooms with large flat screen tv (could use more English speaking programming though). I am a Marriott Platinum
Member so was given access to the Executive lounge. Breakfast was good as well as the evening cocktail hour. The gym and the pool were great. Hotel staff was fantastic and was very attentive to anything we needed. Lots of shopping nearby hotel. The restaurant has a wide selection of foods on the menu and everything we ordered was prepared perfect and tasted great and service was fantastic. Will defiantly stay on my next trip to Singapore.

If you want Marriott quality, you will definitely get it here. The "deluxe" room was a little small for Americans(it was very tight with a king size bed). The bathroom was extra ordinary with a dual use tub and shower. The most pleasant feature was the "Concierge" lounge which in my opinion rivals the greats of Tokyo, Seoul, and London. Very pleased for the value. Location was excellent, very close to the Singapore Rapid Transit. It made it very easy to get to the airport and Sentosa Island.
