Da Chang Jin Korea Hot Stone (大长今韩国烤肉) offers Steamboat/BBQ buffet. We thought it was a rather decent place to spend a couple hours and to enjoy good food.
For BBQ buffet, they are quite generous and offer unlimited fish, pork, beef and lamb slices, squid, prawns and even crabs you can have. They are all marinated. “Steamboat” is a “do-it-yourself meal”, where diners cook their own food in a deep metal pot (ie. the "steamboat") placed over a small electric or gas stove. The name 'Steamboat' is almost exclusively used in Malaysia and Singapore. The steamboat is first filled with stock and you usually have a choice of a chicken broth or Tom Yam soup. Once the soup is brought to a boil, the fire is brought down to a simmer and you can begin cooking. When you feel the food is cooked to your liking, transfer it to your bowl to eat, and add more uncooked ones into the steamboat. The raw ingredients offered include leafy vegetables, mussels, mushrooms, and slices of chicken, beef, pork or fish which can be plain or seasoned, fishballs, prawn balls, tofu, prawns and crab sticks. Steamboat option is also in form of dining buffet-style and you pay a set price per person. You can choose whatever you like from a common area where you pick the food yourself. BBQ & Steamboat buffet are not pricey (expect to pay around S$19++ for two). Buffet doesn't include any drinks, so you need to pay for it additionally.
The place looks like very popular between locals and really crowded. Unfortunately aircon is not serving properly as you won't feel the place being air conditioned, therefore, you feel really hot and stuffy.
