“Friendly and clean!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

It's the best hostel I stayed in Singapore! The stuff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. Tea, coffee and bread are for free. You can also use the PC's and you have free WiFi access. I think it's the best hostel you can get for budget backpackers.

I stayed 3 nights at Rucksack Inn and thought it was a great place. The staff and other guests make you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. The whole place smells of lemongrass and is really refreshing after a long day of travel.

I stayed in the big 14 bed dorm and I was worried at first, but it was great. Each bed comes with its own lamp and electric plug. The beds all have a basket attached to them so you can store your phone, etc. overnight. This is great for people on the top bunk. The rooms all felt very clean, too. The locker was big enough to hold both of my bags.

There were only 2 toilets and 2 showers, but I never really found myself waiting for those.

My only complaint is the laundry. It cost SGD10 per load, which I think is way too expensive. It was nice to leave and come back to clean, dry and folded laundry, though.

Overall, a great place to stay with knowledgeable staff and guests within walking distance of Little India.

We stayed here for 6 nights and the experience is highly recommended with affordable price and friendly staff. Clean environment and they had a newly built rooms for 8 persons where my family and friends stayed. Rucksack Inn Lavender is highly recommended! Thanks for the warm welcome. See you for our next trip to Singapore.

Staff here were so helpful and gave us great tips on things to do in Singapore. Location is perfect with near access to bus, mrt and some great food centres. The room was a little small with no windows but very clean.

Stayed here for 3 nights on a visa trip and must say it is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. It is so fresh and it kind of feels like you own living room. The staff is very friendly and helps you out with finding everything to visit on the maps and gives tips on where to eat. It is a great location on Lavender street and easy to walk to the metro and close by food courts.
Absolutely recommend to stay here while in Singapore, it is good price and such a relaxed atmosphere.

the owner elina is a wonderful person. beds are clean, door has a code to get in, breakfast is only bread/peanut butter/jelly , tea and coffee. Location is awesome and when you land at the Changi Airport get a one, two or three day MRT pass. MRT is the way to get around. Location is good honestly the country is so super teeny tiny there are no bad locations. showers and bathroomz are good and in a safe location.

Room Tip: GET your MRT three day pass at the Airport
