“Cozy and Majestic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2011

Upon arrival I was greeted by pleasant staff at the lobby and check-in was smooth. A gentleman brought me up to the room and we walked through the bar on the second floor. I am very fascinated with the automatic doors which opens at a tap of your room key.

Room had a good design and also the amenities are good, quality wise and according to basic needs. The coffee maker is a charm, easy to operate and an interesting design.

My stay was very comfortable and the staff are very helpful and polite, the lady at the bar on the second floor had excellent service standards and very attentive.

I'm sure to visit this hotel again.

Room Tip: Attic rooms have no windows but has wonderful ambiance!

The hotel is small for Singapore standards and the staff is very kind and helpful. Located near Arab Street is perfect to explore the city or just chill out in a shisha bar. The rooms are perfectly appointed and nicely thought. It has a romantic atmosphere.

Room Tip: I love the platform room, maybe a bit tiny but sooooo romantic!!!

Love the details on the ceiling and walls. Although the room is small, its comfortable enough for a short stay. Very close to lots of eateries and mediterranean, middle eastern food. Lots of night life right at your doorstep.

Service was impressive for a new hotel. I had a package sent to my room and the porter who sent it to my room asked if I needed a cutter or scissors to open the package which he brought to me in a jiffy.

I stayed at the Sultan at the start of November, having picked it up and an excellent price on Agoda, to find out when I arrived that the hotel has just opened. I stayed in a single room, that was excellently furnished with a good flat screen TV, really comfortable bed and good wifi in the rooms. The architecture and the design of the building are really well done, taking several buildings and merging them into one hotel, with little nooks and cranys between them. On top of this, the service from the reception staff was excellent.

From a transport perspective, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and metro stations within easy walking distance.

I would highly recommend staying at the Sultan.

I picked this hotel on Agoda, It was just open, no reviews and good price. I took the deal and I was right.
The hotel is so nice, they were on soft opening, some construction works were still going on. I love the architecture, they are different buldings put together in a funny and intricated bunch of paths and corridors. Access to different areas are possible by a magnetic key that opens gates, like on a 'One thousand and one night' tale. Funny. Staff was friendly at reception, but we expected them to help us with the luggage to the room. It's a 4* property, they should help with luggage. Anyway, in the next days i had some papers to print and they helped for free, as there is no business center. The room was very cozy. I got the attic room as it was cheaper, very nice design. A bit small but enough for working atb the pc desk and ironing (they have in room iron board, which is great for every travellers!). Internet was free, cable or wireless. We also had in room a espresso coffee Lavazza machine with a few complimentary coffee capsules, a real treat for Italian coffee lovers like me. This room doesn't have a window, just a few glasses on the rooftop, but there was enough light. I loved the bed position, it is on a wooden platform, Japanese style, but with a very comfy matress. We didn't try the breakfast, as there are many restaurants in the area and we used to wake up a bit late. They have a Arabic restaurant too, but we didn't try it, too many choices around, it looks very nice anyway. The subway is at about 15 minutes walk. To me is convenient, but many people could find it uncomfortable under the sun or when it rains. There is also a good bus service on Beah Road. There aren't really any weak points about this hotel.
I love the Arabic area in Singapore, it's very charming and reminds me of Istanbul. I would recommend anyone to stay in this area.

Room Tip: I only saw the Attic room, it was reasonable priced for Singapore. Not small, not big. Anyway, comfo...

This boutique hotel is simply amazing. From the service, to the room and to the breakfast. Super attentive receptionist and a very polite waiter. We stayed in the Attic Room and it was just superb. Super clean and super spacious and we love the fact that they provide an espresso machine in every room. Furthermore, it is very near town area and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance to choose from. Two thumbs up. Will definitely stay there again.
