“Look out for the 'Angel'!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013

This is a fantastic building. Worth a look during day light but it is stunning after dark when the architecture is lit up. Inside the lobby you can really appreciate the archiecture. The lobby is at least 3 stories high with a very tall wine cooler. If you order wine (not cheap) an Angel clips herself into a harness and operates controls to traverse the hight of the cooler to get your wine. The music is low key and helps to create the right atmpshpere. Real decadence in my opinion. Take it slow and just enjoy it.

“Inspirational Building”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2013

Getting There: Bus 851 stops in front of the building, so are others taking up the North Bridge road. Best is walk from Bugis junction across OG complex and turn left and you can’t miss it.
Some facts: An ultimate Art deco style building in CBD. One and only building in Singapore where Granite, Bronze and glasses are used and fused on the exterior to give an impressive and bold stance to the building. Interior of the lobby is quite impressive, handcrafted designs and high ceiling, a bar located at the center with 3 storey high wine cellars, even the rest rooms are a unique class and nothing out of place. We didn’t visit the bar though. Outside the Building, you can see effigies of famous politicians, scholars and philanthropists. It’s a semi arc shaped atriums, that makes you feel, you are in an amphi theatre listening to world famous personalities. It’s quite inspiring to just sit down and blend into the architecture. There is also a golden crane in the center, with a Chinese poem engraved on the pedestal. Seems, the crane is ready to fly and is facing the mainland china as per the information written there.
Duration: 30 minute unless you want to use the bar.
Verdict: If you are lover of arts, arts infused with passion, passion that delivers results and results that speak for themself, don’t miss this 30 minute journey of your lifetime, be a local or a visitor.

“Excellent Coffee in amongst the wonder of Art Deco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

If you only do one thing in Singapore visit this building and have a coffee there. This coffee passes the Australian coffee test. The correct temperature, no bitterness and real milk.

Even the toilets are art deco. The ceilings are amazing, the furniture in the cafe is art deco. Everything appears to be bespoke. The building is apparently 19 years old and it houses embassies which why I think there is a ban on internal photos.

“Excellent for a quiet drink during the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

This is an amazing looking building and you can hardly miss it when in Singapore. You will probably drive past it on your way to Changi Airport from your hotel.
We have visited the bar on the ground floor during the day and we were the only people there. There is an amazing 3 stories high wine chiller. The building is in Art Deco style and the inside is amazing, really beautiful.

“Waste of time...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

A total waste of time... I always enjoy admiring building architecture as it gives an insight to a country's history and cultre, Parkview Square may have impressive statues in the courtyard but it's not reflective of Singapore's history...better off going to Joo Chiat/Emerald Hill to see the Peranakan houses...

Note of caution: no photography allowed indoors - the security guards will stop you (however you can easier find videos/photos online anyway).. And not sitting or leaning against the wall...

Would give this place zero stars if it was possible...
