“Super tiny hotel room with good breakfast!”

First time at this hotel on business and it was decent enough to get in and out without hurting myself. The room is tiny! Barely had space to place my luggage or move around. The tiniest room I have ever been in (compared to Tokyo). The room is clean though. It was enough to shower and sleep as I was out of the hotel the next day. Friendly and young local staffs. Great to see local staffs in the service sector. You don't see that often.

Pros- Walking distance to Vivocity and good breakfast.
Cons- If you are claustrophobic or more than 5'5, get a bigger room size with bigger bathroom.

If I were staying for business, or with a family, I wouldn't get a Standard Room. But, if you are just needing sleeping accommodations or have a layover, this hotel and the standard room is perfect.

The room: I booked a standard room. They do warn you it is small, and they are not being modest. It is about 8'x12', including the toilet and shower. It is quite efficient - not missing anything except a desk, which is why I wouldn't stay for business. There is no way you'd fit 3 people, no matter how small the third. There simply isn't floor space for anything larger than a bath towel. I am really not exaggerating.

I asked for a room facing the back, and got the request. It was quiet. I am not certain if there would be noise from the road in the rooms on the opposite side. Ask.

Free minibar (water, juice, beer, chips/mixed nuts), free wifi, local calls. Rain shower & hand shower. Flat screen tv. Toiletries, etc.

Excellent location : across from VivoCity mall, MRT station HarbourFront, and boardwalk to Sentosa. It took less than an hour from when my plane landed to being in bed.

Staff very friendly and helpful. They are going for a hip, modern feel.

Complaint: the walls in the room were badly scuffed and needed paint. Also, the shower water was tepid, not hot. I really could have used a hot shower after a long flight.

I would use this hotel again for a layover stay. Probably also would do it with family, but with a bigger room.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the rear of the hotel, to avoid noise from the main road. Note that a stand...

New hotel, great location for Sentosa. VIVO shopping mall across the road. Rooftop pool. Complimentary mini bar. Cheap and totally worth staying at. Stayed there twice in a recent trip and would go back.

This hotel is rated as a 4 star property but in my view it is at best 3.
Stayed in a deluxe room for 4 nights in early April....unfortunately there was nothing deluxe about the room. Room itself was very small - 2 adults with 2 pieces of luggage and the room was full. No space to walk around, hardly any hanging space for clothes, none of the windows opened for fresh air. Carpet was tired and worn; rainfall shower was nice but found at certain times in the morning cold water pressure would drop so I ended up showering in a scalding hot shower. Sink was not cleaned for any of the 5 days (wife's makeup powder stains on sink)....overall a bad experience. Only things going for the hotel are the fact that it is very close to the huge Vivo shopping mall, and is close to Sentosa if you wish to head to the beach. Needless to say I won't be staying there again.

We apologize that the cleanliness of your room’s bathroom sink was not up to standard and we will be more vigilant in the future in maintaining the cleanliness standard of our hotel. With regards to the room size which you would have preferred to be larger, our Deluxe room, at 23 - 26 square metres, is actually a good size and appeals to most of our guests who have stayed in them; and is actually be good for two persons. We are in the final phase of rolling out bigger rooms and they are expected to be ready soon. Also, our room does have adequate for clothes to be hung and with regards to the windows, most of the hotels in Singapore do not allow the opening of hotel room windows which we hope you understand. We hope to welcome you back to our hotel to stay by then and hope that it would be a refreshing experience for you.

They lost the reservation despite confirming it only one week earlier. We booked standard and deluxe rooms, but there was little difference between them, in fact no difference so I wonder what I was paying for. It was clean and tidy but very small and pokey with little room to move.
Found that only one restaurant is working despite signs and website saying two.
For the cost I should have stayed elsewhere.

4 nights stays at Bay Hotel Singapore for 2 rooms. I must say that their services are almost near to prefect. We reach there before 2pm but were still given the check in plus an upgrade for our 2 rooms even through we did not book directly from the hotel website.
As per their website and other travel agent websites, free internet was given plus compliment on mini-bar (2 beers, 2 soda drinks, 2 fruit drinks, 1 packet of potato chips, 1 packet of mixed nuts, 2 bottles of iced water, 2 bottles of room-temperature water) daily.
Good location, just opposite VivoCity Shopping Mall and Harbourfront MRT Station.

Bay Hotel is quite a new hotel and saw views on some travelers' complaining of their small room but for me, I think it’s quite cozy and neat. Even I have kids around, it’s was still okay for them to move around happily. The room services were great; the food we ordered didn’t take too long to come. The maintenance was fast and efficient when we complaint on the bathroom matters. Just that the hotel room sound proof were a little low.

Lastly, one most important thing I would like to highlight is that the lobby staffs shouldn’t show their internal disputes in front of the customer. I saw one of the lady staff telling off the other guy staff in front of me, her face was so “black”. But luckily both of them didn’t give me any “black face”. Even through I still felt that any unhappiness should be behind doors and not in front of customer.

Stayed for 7 nights on business and was supposedly in the upgraded executive room. The room was an absolute shoebox - tiny. To sit at the desk you nearly lost your kneecaps (and I'm only 5'2"). The TV had almost no watchable English channels. The shower smelled bad, toilet did not flush fully. There was visible dust behind the bed and the curtain behind the bed was broken. The airconditioning rattled the glass doors of the shower/toilet so i had to wedge a towel to stop the rattle. The minibar which is complimentary and replenished daily was only replenished with soft drink - not the two San Miguel beers it started with. This seemed a little 'cheap' of the hotel. Road noise was dreadful.
The only positives to this property were the location (directly opposite VivoCity mall) and the breakfast buffet which was very good. It was helpful to have complimentary wifi at least.
I couldn't get out of this hotel fast enough - I would never recommend this property.
