“Avoid it if you can”

The rooms are too small. Breakfast is cold rice in a plastic plates with plastic forks and knifes Tea is in a plastic esky. Service is bad and prices is way too high for what you get. Overall, its poor experience

Room Tip: Paying more for a room with window is not worth it.

This hotel is the worst hotel we stayed for 2 nights. We took 9 days off to singapore because in bali the local having Nyepi day. We decided to stay in 3 different places, chinatown, clark quay and bugis. We think we will safe the best for last, but finally we got the worst one. Why?
Appearance of front office very ok and luxury
They gave us room near elevator, very noisy.
Enter the room, whatttt, very very small, hard to standing, can't put our baggage
Small cabinet
Compact toilet
Breakfast worst, not enough employee: cook, server, i dont know, long time food arrived
The best is only location, many street food, warung, dessert, shabu-shabu, etc.

Room Tip: Dont book, dont early payment, go out, find better, lots, dont look back

The room are small with no space to move about. If found smoking, fine $200. After the shower, fog appears in the room and water vapour found on mirror and desk. The towels were found to be dirty after make up room. Overall very poor rating. Near bugis still have many more hotels to choose, don't choose this hotel.

I have stayed in this hotel in June 2013 for 4 nights to attend Communicasia exhibiton in Singapore . This is the worse hotel i have ever seen in my life. Every morning I found new person in reception and it seems they all are from Hitler generation. They have charged 130 USD inclusive of breakfast and believe me the breakfast is just 2 pcs bread and a egg and that too against a coupon that was given by the hotel . If you lost the coupon then you are gone as no duplicate coupon will be issued. You have to walk a mile and then go into basement to have bread and butter . The room was so small that you will have to take over the bed to make any call over phone . No waiter was seen in my four days stay . As per the price is concern this hotel should cost only 30- 35 USD . Pls dont ever go nearer to this hotel if u ever been to Singapore

First of all we must all realize that SGD has increased in value a lot, and also the inflation in Singapore has been strong in recent years, cumulating in things being very expensive in Singapore. The location of Marrison is good, it being next to a major food street and close to the Bugis MRT station, Bugis Junction, etc. We had a group of 8 and took 6 rooms @ budget or approx USD 100 / night / room. I had a single room. On my 2nd night there was a lizard on the floor. Bathroon showers shares floor with toilet meaning there was no separate shower area. The closet was super small and a can of liquid soap is for all purpose use, sheets and towels were sub-par. Ok this is probably 2 star property or less and i'd be thinking that USD 50 or 40 / room / night would be easier to swallow. I'd probably call this a "Singapore version of the Japanese Capsule Hotel". Prepayment is also a negative factor, giving a "cash grab" feel".

Room Tip: there maybe other better "capsule hotels" here but Singapore is now a super expensive plac...

My wife and I stayed at the marrison hotel and were absolutely shocked at how dingy and small the hotel was. Our room was approx 11m2 which included a bathroom and a shower that had no curtain. This meant that all our towels, toiletries and toilet paper got drenched.. my wife was eaten alive by bed bugs making her stay very uncomfortable. The so called breakfast was horrendous! And was thrown at you when you ordered it. It was a choice of a festy bowl of noodles or a scummy sandwich. Not to mention bad coffee with no milk. Needless to say We bailed and went to another hotel. Absolutely horrible place and unnecessarily expensive. Save yourself the time, effort and money and book somewhere else... I feel this is a fair and honest review.

Room Tip: Dont book at this place!

Four of us stayed for a week. Yes, the rooms are small but adequate for 2 people. ( If you have ever been in a quad share cabin on a Cruise Liner you will know about sharing small rooms !! )We had two adjoining rooms each with 2 single beds as requested. Our rooms were serviced daily with fresh towels & the aircon worked fine.As long as you only took your towel & undies in the bathroom while showering,& covered the toilet seat with the bathmat during your shower there was no problem keeping the bathroom relatively dry. The Staff at the front desk were polite and helpful. The breakfast offered at the cafe next door was horrible and we avoided it after the first morning. The Hotel is so close to Bugis Junction and the MRT that getting around Singapore was no problem at all. Two of us hung 4 outfits each & my mid-size suitcase & backpack all fitted in the tiny wardrobe ok. It could be a bit noisy when people were chatting in the corridors but that is not the fault of the hotel but unthinking guests not caring about other peoples comfort. Earplugs worked a treat. !! Our room with no windows was not a worry to us as we were out all day & only returned to sleep. The beds were comfortable & we all slept well.Taken all round it was a cheap place to stay and we would certainly book in there again.
