Finally I manage to find my new hot spot. Nandos at Tanglin Mall. Good service great food. For me a bit pricy but worth the money in singapore as you unlikely to find such great tasting chicken elsewhere. I had the 1/4 chicken with two sides, a Coke light and 2 portugese rolls. Cost me around 30 dollars. With 2 sides it's a overkill I'm used to just one side order. It's also a full designed restaurant and not the takeaway concept I'm used to. I hope singapore Nandos will start a foodcourt franchise.
I asked for my chicken to be well done with extra sauce. It was perfectly cooked the way I like it. Not raw. And without that boiled chicken taste. Compares to the flagship Nandos in Johannesburg I rank the tanglin mall high high up there. I'm definitely going back as often as I can. That's code for weekly. I bought my bottle sauces and all set.
Seems like Nandos is doing well in Singapore and they will proper. Some information of interest: peri peri is a south African thing. It's not portugese. My portugese mates living still in Portugal say there is nothing about peri peri there. It's just they way they cook the food is in portugese style. So in fact the cuisine could be African :) Try Nandos out. It's on upper price end even for the locals but well worth it even if just once a month. If you notice, I am a Nandos fan for over 10years and going strong.
