We had a wonderful dinner here sitting outside on the patio, although the dining room was also very inviting and well designed. I would describe the food as sophisticated European with a touch of the Asian concentrating on local ingredients. We were four and all ate different dishes - every one was excellent, although we had a hard time deciding what to have - so many dishes were calling out to us! We started with some gorgeous oysters which had just been flown in from France on the day. Then I had pasta with sea urchin - it was unctuous, smooth and full of flavour. I didn't want it to end. I followed the pasta with a perfectly cooked and tender rack of lamb with a beautiful reduction. The others had scallops, salad, beef bourguignon and tenderloin - everything was absolutely delicious. We ended with Valhrona chocolate cake with Milo ice-cream and the pineapple tart tatin with black pepper ice-cream. The ice-cream was especially good, rich, creamy but somehow light as well. The quality of the ingredients shone through. The food served here is of a high calibre in terms of creativity, sophistication and professionalism. Additionally, the staff is well trained, polite and informed. Finally, in Singapore, the land of highly overpriced restaurants, when the bill came, it was totally reasonable by any city's standards. This is a wonderful place to eat.
